When Sam's glistening gold crown was placed on his head, he stood and grabbed Katrina's hand as quickly as he could. He could feel her emotions and he worried for her. His one arm wrapped casually around her waist without anybody really noticing besides a smiling Fate.
Then it was Arianna's turn. She confidently picked up the crown she had helped to take back not so long ago, and she turned back to Colby. He remained still until he felt the metal on top of his hair. The weight was foreign to him even though he had been the king for years - centuries, actually. Never during all of those years did he think he'd come to the point of being able to have someone by his side. So he took his chance. He got the girl. He got the queen.
When he stood up, he didn't hide his affection for his queen. He stood and he grabbed her and pulled her right into his side. And she let him, more than willing to show everybody who thought the devil was evil that he wasn't so bad and that he could love more than his kingdom, but a person. Specifically a woman.

"A queen's duty in her kingdom is more than what you hear in fairytales from your lives. A queen doesn't just stand by the side of a man with a higher title, but she stands on her own as a warrior, and as a protector. She must fight her enemies just like anyone else would. She must stand back up when she's knocked down. And she must, most importantly, take care of herself. A king needs his queen, and a queen needs her king. I am not supposed to have my opinion, but I think both boys here on this stage in front of all of you have found queens who will do all of that and more. Both warriors with extraordinary abilities, and born strong by heart and mind. Congratulations to both." God nodded his head to Katrina first then to Arianna. Both nodded in return even if one was more reluctant.
"A queen isn't a queen without a crown, even if she doesn't wear it." Fate spoke, shocking the audience members into breaking out into small whispers, but when the elegant goddess never heard from before stood, their mouths shut. She walked forwards as an angel brought across a small trolley holding two beautiful crowns. Both matched that of the ones on the kings heads but stood out on their own as unique. "As the current reigning queen of heaven and the mother of the king of hell, I am honoured to pass the jewellery on. Therefore, I ask that Katrina Stuart and Arianna Black alike join me."
The girls hadn't been told about this part of the ceremony. From the walk down the stairs to God's speech, they had been told what to do, but when it came to the goddess standing there ahead of every single person on the stage telling them to walk to her, they were uncertain.
"Go, you know Fate." Colby whispered in Arianna's ear assuringly as he gently pushed her forward. She was hesitant, but all that confidence she had gathered up hadn't been completely used yet. She cleared her head of her uncertainties, moved her feet, and ended up by Fate's side first. Only when Katrina joined them did the goddess smile and take both girls' hands. She gave them gentle looks just like a mother would before she let go.
"It is time to crown the new queens of heaven and hell." Fate announced as she picked up the sparkling golden crown certainly fit for a monarch. Her long fingers wrapped around the metal as she turned towards Katrina, who bowed her head and leaned forward, prepared to receive the crown. "Katrina Stuart, I announce you the new queen of heaven, and I place this crown upon your head as a statement of your title and your authority." Slowly, the headpiece was placed on top of Katrina's crazy blue hair. It seemed like it sparkled more to those around her; in fact it seemed like she was sparkling. "I present to heaven and hell alike... Katrina Stuart, the queen of heaven."

The woman stood up straight with a look in her eye no one could fault. She was happy, unbelievably happy, no matter how cold her feet had seemed just moments ago. She was finally queen, and she could finally stand by Sam's side for eternity. It seemed like standing so far away from him was painful; like she needed to be with him.
A round of applause seemed to shake the entire castle of heaven. The angels were the culprits creating a racket to celebrate the woman they had seen as their queen for longer than most of them could remember. They had waited for this day since Sam was first spotted with a woman, and a few still didn't believe that it was happening.
Only when the claps died down did Fate continue on with the ceremony, smiling as much as ever. "And now, Arianna Black..." the goddess turned towards Arianna as she bent forwards just like Katrina. She was ready to receive her crown even if it meant diving head first into the unknown. "I announce you the first ever queen of hell, and I give you this crown to show your loyalty, your power, and your status." The dark crown slowly lowered onto Arianna's head causing a spark of fire to erupt from the gems flowing down with the curls of her hair. Similarly to Katrina, it proved to everybody in the room that she was meant for this; meant to be standing there.
