She became stronger than God and she sent him flying backwards just by thrusting the sword forward into his.

His back hit a wall, slamming into Katrina somewhere along the way. The way she herself smacked against the ground made her head begin to spin as she attempted to keep up her powers, but she couldn't. She was too out of it. The bubble around the devil and his army very quickly faded, not that anybody moved. No one could believe what had happened in front of their very eyes.

Most in the room looked at Arianna and wondered what she was; why she suddenly became more powerful than even a demon when she was still a human. But the answer was in the woman who had called the shots from the beginning.

"That's why, God," Fate started as she walked to the confused girl staring down at the sword in her hand, "you don't undermine me. I decided she would win that battle. I decided she deserved it more than you did. And Fate always gets her way, because that's how the universe works."

While God stared at his wife in both shock and weirdly adoration, Arianna's wings flicked into her back and her scarily blank black eyes turned back to hazel. It was like she had just woken up from the last couple of minutes; like the moment she had seen the sword in God's hand she'd blacked out.

Not for much longer.

The moment she looked over her shoulder at the now-disappeared bubble and her boyfriend, who had stood up at some point during her battle, she didn't care who was around them or who might be watching. She acted solely on her feelings for him and her relief that he was not only alive, but alive because of her.

She almost ran at him and, without so much as hesitation, kissed him. He automatically reacted to her, feeling the love between them grow just as much as she did. His hands grabbed onto her waist and held her as close to him as possible. They were more than just a devil and a human, they were a devil and his queen. Though she didn't have a crown, she certainly had the will and the authority and the powers to be one whether she had wings or not.

He was the first to pull away, but he was reluctant. He didn't want to let go of her in case she slipped away from him. He needed her more than ever after seeing what she had done for him. Unless she got into anymore life-threatening situations - which he certainly hoped wouldn't be the case - then he could never repay her.

They stood, eyes closed, foreheads pressed together, and hands still on each other for a long moment. They just wanted to be close to one another for a little more time; just to have each other like they planned to for eternity.

But their little interaction had to come to an end when God found not only his feet, but his voice, too. He didn't move from where he was stood but his voice was enough to carry through the entire room.

"I don't like hell," he started, staring directly at his stepson, who became all too alert at the sound of the man's voice.

He pulled Arianna to his side with a tight grip on her hand, fingers intertwined.
