Ariel POV

I'm so glad that my parents bought me a car after hearing I passed the drivers test and earned a drivers License, so now no more riding in the limos because it's boring in a way.

driving at first was scary but I overcame my fear and drive like it's nothing, it's super easy. I noticed that I've arrived at schools parking lot and parked right in the middle, looking straight to my high school.

I grabbed my backpack and keys, then got out and pressed the button to lock my car, I've realized my friends were waiting for me outside and waved at me with excitement, one of them especially is Cody!

Cody ran up to me and hugged me tight, they may be small but wow! So strong. Uncle Zachary taught them self defense and lift up weights.

"Finally you're here! Now I don't get to suffer alone with these idiots!" They mentioned our friends and earned 'hey!' We all chuckled.

"Obviously, I do have the perfect attendance! Gotta have a good reputation around here in school!" bragging in a cocky way and Cody rolled their eyes in a playful manner.

"Alright goody two shoes! Let's head to class before the teacher marks us late but I'm pretty sure they'll let it slide since we're hanging with the best student in Hartville High!" Cody spoke and we all began walking inside the school, seeing bunch of students hanging out or walking to class, others barely finishing their important projects

"True, I am the best!" one thing is for certain I got the cocky manner from my father Jax, like father like daughter.

Cody got the dry yet funny witty remarks from their mother but cold from their father when it comes to sudden strangers. We are like siblings! We mess around and act 10x crazier together!

One thing that Cody's parents don't know is that they're transgender, male to female. For now we're referring to them as They/them/their because they wants us to call them she/her when they're fully transitioned.

Me and our friends support them fully along the way. I found out that they were struggling with this in middle school..

It was a painful memory..

For me and mostly Cody. No one knows except me and our friends. It's our secret.

We were heading to our way to class and Cody turns red to see their crush, Tommy. The quarter back of the football team.

He has the looks and personality that every girl got hooked and throw themselves to him. It's pretty interesting he never had a relationship before so Im guessing he wants a full on committed serious relationship.

Like Cody, that's what they want but they're nervous to talk to them but tommy was talking to them first whenever they got the chance. It was lowkey cute.

Cody tried to play it cool until Tommy waved at them, making them panic and waved nervously at him. We all teased them along the way and made it class.

We all sat down in our usual spots and talked until the bell rang and the teacher walks in while shutting the door behind her.

"Everyone read your texts books, page 80 to 89!" She claimed and everyone rolled their eyes and groaned. While I flipped the pages happily and began reading silently.

Few minutes later me and my friends, Cody were talking quietly and joke around, sometimes stay quiet whenever the teacher looks at us and we pretend to read.

Cody was doodling in their notebook which I can proudly say it's their hidden amazing talent. I've tried convincing them to join art class but they're so shy to enter, even knowing Tommy is in that class too.

It could be their chance to talk to Tommy more to be honest. But they said they're thinking about it.

If they hit it off I'm going to be the maid of honor.

Just sayin'

I can see them together happily ever after.

Something I crave for myself every now and then..
