Why would I do this when there are already so many of these things out there? Because it's fucking fun. And because I can pretend this is actual content as an excuse to not update fanfics I have to put genuine effort into.

So I kind of had to start off with this one. It's the OG canon ship, egg boi x smort gorl, a fan favorite.
Yes. Just... yes.
Freaking adorable. Like... have you seen that one bonus scene in School Mode where they make flower crowns together? So goddamn cute.
Dumbass protagonist boy starts off naive and kind of useless, draws the attention of genius detective girl who thinks he's kind of an idiot albeit an intriguing idiot but slowly grows to admire him for never losing his idealism and optimism, and eventually falling in love with him because he's the #1 cute egg... it's perfect.
This ship does get some hate because Kyoko ends up trying to sacrifice Makoto, but it was kind of the only way they'd have any chance of escape. She wasn't sacrificing him to save herself, she was sacrificing him to defeat the mastermind and save everyone. From her perspective (which the game's bonus ending shows us to be correct) it was the only way to stop Junko. She wasn't being selfish in doing that, and she did genuinely care about him. Not to mention she kind of returns the favor in Future Arc because -
*wipes tears*
She's normally totally cold, closed off, doesn't let anybody in, but she sacrifices her life to save Makoto. What's more, she didn't tell him beforehand because she knew he would kill himself to save her and go crazy with guilt if he didn't. Even though the writers didn't have the balls to go through with a main-series character death and she's fine in the end, she was willing to give up her life to save Makoto and didn't tell him because she knew he'd do the same for her.
Not to mention Makoto is cute with pretty much anyone.
It's not my OTP, but Naegiri gets a solid 9/10.
