~•~*~•~

Bethrothed since the beginning of time.

Formalised at 18 of age.

To be wed right after graduation, before he takes over his company and i take over mine.

But now we are 24, nearing the time when we have to say our vows, almost four years that i had shared this man's love.

For he met her at 20, And his love for her grew at 21.

I realized my love for him three years after we met.

I love him since then.

"TORI!! Are you listening to me!" Princess yelled

Before Princess could shake me further, Frecious held her tightly by the shoulders.

"Princess!, Thats enough"

Surprised at her stern tone, Princess actually stopped.

I sighned inwardly

"Everyone's looking" I whispered

Princess finally had the awareness to realise that several of our classmates were staring at us curiously.

"Let all get of here and talk" Sailee said as she sigh

Princess looked at her as she nod.

"My treat!" Shayne said as she raised her hands

Princess looked at me before smiling with relief but her eyes were still full of sympathy and pain for me.

But i mean

Im really fine

I really am!

I think...

But i guess i can see why she would feel that way

I dragged her out with eyes forward, smilling and not looking back.

***

When his little sister died, i had to rush to their house

When i got to his room

He was emotionless

Lifeless

Calm, with no expression on his face,
barely showing his emotions as he held onto the picture of his little sister cutely smilling while her two pigtails is being blown by the wind.

We had gone through a long mourning session that started early in the morning.

The rain started when the family was walking beside the car that held his little sisters body, proudly escorting her to her burial place.

I saw him smile and comfort the visitors, relatives, family friends, acquaintances, business partners. A respectful politeness and a friendly demeanour. Even a smile occasionally graced his face to comfort those in tears.

As his unofficial fiancé, i had no right to stand next to him. But i too felt grief at seeing a little girl that grew attached to me pass away.

As the coroner and lawyer finally left the office, i had rush in.

He looked at me with surprise in his eyes as he didn't know that i was going to barge in

And in that exact moment

The first time i saw him show his emotion

Tears pooled in his eyes

And he broke down, that prideful man

I held him in a toght embrace as if to envelops himself into me and share half of his sorrows

"Shh..It's going to be alright"

As the rain slowly stop and the sun rises again.

"Shhh"

i whispered to him.

As he trembled and cried in my arms, his body showing the pain his heart felt that moment.

'This man'

'Whom i grew up with, sharing joy and sorrows'

'We knew each other in and out'

'Even till now'

"How can i even leave him"

I whispered to myself as i continue to comfort him until we fell asleep.
