After Taeil had finished explaining all of the odd gadgets that there are in the world, or at least all of the important ones that I apparently needed to know, he asked me about my personal life and we chatted for what seemed like forever, He's a really nice guy. I really hoped that I would have him as my teacher. We were just talking about behaviors that were appropriate and inappropriate for school when there was a knock on the door and a distressed looking teacher came in.
"Taeil! They're doing it again!" And in an instant, they were out the door. I ran after them, hurrying down the corridor and hurling themselves outside. There was a crowd of people and I got scared and stopped running. Crowds frighten me. I didn't know what was happening until I heard a shout and then everything went quiet. Taeil and the unknown man started to push themselves through the crowd and I sighed, I can't be assed to do that... I stopped time. Nothing was moving. I quickly made my way through the crowd of people to the center and managed to have a quick look at what was going on. The Way was in a defensive stance with two other groups of people standing either side of them in a triangular shape. They looked like they were about to fight. I saw Kain and this other boy with blond hair and a distinct jawline standing in front of each other, Kain about to punch the other guy. I un-paused time and ran out, shouting 'Stop.'. I grabbed Kain's hand before he could punch the other guy and pulled him back. I heard a series of groans from the children watching as I dragged Kain back, who was struggling in my grasp. Immediately the other groups put their hands out, as if they were expecting another blow to come at them at any moment. I pushed Kain behind Lucas and then walked into the middle of the circle.
"This ends now." A series of laughs came from the boys who were standing around me and I frowned. "What is the point. You're just going to end up hurt." I seriously didn't understand what was happening at the moment. I don't think I wanted to. I don't even know what I was doing at this moment but again, I don't think I wanted to. By this point, I could see that Taeil and the other man had made it to the middle. I sat on the floor. Everyone was looking at me. "Whoever wants to start the fight, can start by punching me." No one moved. That was when Taeil stepped in.
"Detention room, all of you, now." All three groups of people groaned and glared at each other as they trudged off the field. I looked at The Way with worry, this isn't who I knew. I looked at Lucas, he was glaring and any sign of that sweet, clumsy boy was gone, like he didn't even exist, even Yangie looked like she could strangle the other boys, her hair was tussled and a frown was stretched across her usual pretty face.
"Ten, follow me." Taeil walked after the three groups and I followed him, the other man following on behind. People started whispering and crowding around us to look at me. I was kind of proud of myself, I had stopped a fight. We walked down more symmetrical corridors and rounded a corner and went down some stairs and around another corner and continued walking till Taeil pushed his way through everyone and unlocked the door.
"Go in, all of you." We filed in one by one, The Way going in last and I followed with the mystery man behind me, who closed the door.
