aimee woke up to an empty bed the next morning. "xander?" she called out walking out of the bedroom. she walked into the living room to see xander sitting on the couch, deep in thought. "xan, what's wrong?" aimee asks sitting down next to him. she starts to rub his shoulder for comfort
"i know you still love zach"
"xander, i-"
"wait aimee let me finish. i'm not mad at you, i actually feel really bad. our whole relationship i knew deep down that you could never love me as much as you love zach, i was selfish to keep you in this relationship just because i love you. i want to see you happy and i know being zach will do exactly that. so this is me, breaking up with you" xander finished
"xander, i can't just go be with him" aimee talked with her hands. xander put his hand on her thigh to calm her down.
"yes you can"
"it's not that simple. i haven't talked to him in forever. he probably has a girlfriend"
"you never know aims, now text him before i do it for you" xander smiled at her

zach grabbed her hand "aimee calm down. i just needed to process" he took a deep breath "i mean i obviously still love you, that's not even a question"
"wonderful" aimee smiled "but i think we should stay friends and take things slow"
"i agree. friends who kiss sometimes?"
