It was a calm evening.

The nightsky twinkles brightly with stars, while the moon was hiding behind the clouds.

The smell of salt envelops the air.

The waves of the vast ocean roars in the stillness of the night.

Leona cannot help but admire this picturesque sight.

“Beautiful.” She murmurs

“Indeed.” Arius agreed while staring at her face

She stood quietly, basking in the peacefulness of the place.

She then looked at the man beside her and asked, “So, why are we here?”

“To meet up with someone.”

“Someone?”

“Do you know Solstice?”

“The god of light.” Leona

Arius nodded.

“Wait... We’re meeting the god Solstice?”  Leona

“Yes.”

“..........”

“I told him we’ll meet him before sunset. Im sure he’s really pissed right now.” Arius said with a mischievous grin

Leona saw a man staring at the distance. His appearance is odd. He’s like a humanoid mixed with a lion and an eagle. Leona suddenly remembered Beast from a certain Disney movie. But this man have wings on his back.

“You’re late.” Saad ng lalaki

“Old man!” bati ni Arius

“Say, how do you punish tardiness in this world?” tanong ng lalaki kay Leona

She suddenly felt suffocated. This man’s eyes are looking at her as if she’s an ant.

“So uptight as usual.” Komento ni Arius, hinawakan nya sa balikat si Leona at agad nawala ang bigat na nararamdaman ng dalaga

“I dont see anything special with this human. Why are you being overprotective, Supreme God?” tanong ng lalaki

“She’s my wife.” Tugon ni Arius

“...........”

Maging si Leona ay hindi nakatugon.

“Hmmp.. Whatever.. There is no official punishment for being late?” nagtatakang tanong ng diyos ng liwanag

“No.” Arius

“How odd.. For such creatures with short lifespan, I thought you all would put great importance on time more than anything else. What a backward race, you humans.” Komento ng diyos ng liwanag

He’s blatantly insulting the human race but Leona cannot repute his words. There is truth in his comment about the human race.

“My wife, this old man is the god of Light, Solstice.” Arius

Dapat ba syang mag-Hi??

“Old man, this is my wife, Leona, Princess of Solas.” Arius

“I dont care about this human, Im here to drag you back to the immortal realm.” Solstice
