Your side was killing you by the time you were back on the Razor Crest. The assailant hit you pretty good on the side. But you didn't falter your stance. Not even when you watched as Din shoved the man into a rectangular box and it fogged up- Din had put him in carbonate.

That was new.

You sat down, back on the same crate and was cleaning your vibroblade while Din manned the ship as always.

That's when you heard the same coo. It was like a baby, and it shocked you just as much as it had the first time. Although this time, it was much more persistent and you were able to find the source of the noise. You opened what was a hidden cot to find what looked like a green, weird, bug-eyed frog. It as well had giant ears and had a wrinkled head. It was practically wearing a krill sack as an outfit.

You tilted your head down at the adorable yet confusing monstrosity, and it gleefully cooed at you and lifted its hands up. It had three fingers on either hand and it was smiling at you while giggling. You were about to lean down and pick it up when you heard the safety flick off on a blaster. You froze in place and then you rose your hands into the air.

"Step away from the kid." You heard Din say and you furrowed your eyebrows. That thing is a kid? It has more wrinkles than the Emperor did.

You took a step back, following his instructions. "Face me." He said and you did so after straightening out your back. You saw Din's blaster pointed at you, it looked as if he were almost shaking. "A Mandalorian softened for a little green bean." You said, nearly chuckled at your own sentence. "He is a foundling." He said and you tilted your head curiously, all the while still having your hands raised in the air.

A foundling? Din is telling you, that the green baby behind you is basically a Mandalorian? You practically scoffed at it but you bit your tongue in efforts not to.

You stepped to the side and motioned towards the kid. "You can look, didn't even touch the thing." You said, the Ubesian coming out as raspy and robotic as ever. Din holstered his blaster after putting the safety back on and rushed over to the kid. "So you are like his father?" You asked, sitting down on the same crate as Din held the child. "Yes." He simply replied as he had his helmet tilted down towards the child, watching it as it made grabby hands up at his visor.

"That thing is the reason Moff Gideon was after you?" You questioned again, and a harsher 'yes' came from Din, as if he were becoming irritated by all of your questions.

You decided to keep quiet and you silently watched as Din rocked the baby gently back to sleep. You continually kept quiet even when the green goblin was in its white hovering cradle and it was quietly closed shut.

"How do you know Ubesian?" You questioned, after Din quietly was placing some weapons back on his weapons rack. He stopped for a moment and looked right at you. But you didn't change your pose, even if you began to feel nervous internally. "Our people. The Ubesians and Mandalorians are close." He said, returning to his work. You should have known this, and now he may know something is up.

"You should know this. You are Ubesian are you not, Boushh?" He asked and you replied, "Family was very culture oriented. Never learned about other people." You simply replied, knowing how Ubesians only relied on their own people, and never mingled with others. Of course you studied up on them.

"As most Ubesians still are." Din added and you wanted to sigh in relief as he took your lie for truth. "What about the Black Sun? They are still after you are they not?" He questioned. It was unusual for him to ask so much. You remembered him always being so quiet.

"I repayed what I owed." You said simply, now becoming equally quiet as what Din once was. "And the Guild took you back in. Even after breaking the code?" You questioned, turning your attention back to your vibroblade. "The kid saved Karga. And freed Nevarro of Imperial imprisonment." He said and you raised an eyebrow. You don't remember Greef telling you that.

"And what of the child's parents?" You asked and Din was quiet for a long while before he answered. "Unknown." He finally responded.

"What about a caretaker? For the child?" You asked, it was almost natural to you to wonder what kind of mother figure the child would have. "None at the moment. I'm looking into it." He said and you immediately blurted the first thing that came to mind. "And if I took care of it?"

Everything was dead silent other than the quiet hums of hyperspace. Din then slowly turned towards you. "I have... experience. Large family. Plus you would need help with bounties." You said, it was too late to refute your previous question now. Din scoffed as if you were insane and shook his head. "You're kidding.. right?" He finally questioned and you looked up at him.

"I don't remember laughing." You added and Din stayed silent. Long enough for the warning of exiting hyperspace to pull him away from the conversation and back up to the cockpit. That's when the little makeshift doors to the crib opened and the kid climbed out.

You didn't want to touch the green bean, in fear you might get shot. So you just watched as it gleefully waddled over to you and climbed up on your lap and began to make grabby hands at the ventilation where your mouth was. It giggled and you didn't move, still in fear of being shot. But regardless at your lack of any sort of action, the child played with a bit of string on your brown vest.

"He likes you, Boushh."
