Like i said, appreciate things.
Compliment him/her first. Hahaha let her feel your compliment first.
Then make that compliment to an insult. Like:
"Your dress is so cute! ........ It's like my grandma's."
Something like that.
When someone says bad stuffs about you, accept it. Accept it in a positive way.
And don't forget to flash your brightest and sweetest smile.
