he reminds me of atlas
world resting on his shoulders
waiting for the day his knees will crush
under the weight of his guilt
he whispers his apologies like a hymn
there's no love in staying with him
for he is burdened with the sky you cannot holdhe reminds me of hades
lurking in the shadows
pressing his pomegranate seeds in his palms
waiting for the day
his persephone arrives
he whispers his apologies like a hymn
there's no love in keeping her there
for she was born to bring out the springhe reminds me of apollo
blinded in his love
drowning in his sorrowshe whispers his apologies like a hymn
there's no love in bringing him back
for hyacinthus is dead
