The Sun and The Moon

Match up: Naruto x Sasuke
Contains: Yaoi, smut
Note: Sasuke has black cat ears and a matching tail; Naruto has sunset orange ears and nine matching tails. (Everyone in the village is oblivious to this fact because the ones that do have them hide them with undetectable genjutsu)

Naruto knocks on Sasuke's door, thinking back to what happened last week.

~ Flashback ~

"Naruto." the raven haired boy says sternly trying to push the blonde away. "Naruto, please stop." he says finally succeeding in pushing the boy away from him.

Naruto regains his balance easily before lunging forward, wrapping his arms around him so he can't move. Sasuke feels a shiver run down his spine as Naruto's warm breath tickles his neck. Naruto gently nips at his collarbone trying to find his sweet spot.

Tears leak out of the corners of the ravenette's eyes, "Stop. Please, stop." Naruto freezes, his eyes flicking to the tears running down Sasuke's cheeks, his eyes screwed shut. 'Shit, he probably hates me now.' "Sorry." Naruto says quietly, regret filling his voice, he takes a step back before turning around and jumping away.

What Naruto didn't see was that Sasuke had sank to the ground hugging himself. "I'm sorry, Naruto, I don't deserve your love after all I've done to you." he sobs out quietly to himself. 

~ Flashback End ~

Sasuke opens the door to see a blonde haired boy with blue eyes darkened with guilt and regret.

"Naruto, did you need something? We have the day off." he says his voice cold and void of emotion. He settled on that because he knew if he spoke any other way, his voice would betray him.

His eyes widen when he sees Naruto get on his knees, his head bowed so low it almost touched the floor. "I'm so sorry, Sasuke. I never should have done that to you."

"Just forget about it." Naruto looks up incredulously at the Uchiha. Sasuke looks away, scratching his cheek, "Do you want to stay for breakfast? I made too much for just me to eat."

Naruto stands up, he hesitantly nods. Sasuke steps back and opens the door for the Uzumaki to enter. He closes the door behind them and motions for Naruto to take a seat at the table. He walks into the kitchen and returns to the table carrying their breakfast.

"Itadakimasu." Both boys say quietly, eating their food in awkward silence.

The silence was unbearable to the young Uchiha. 

"Look, I'm not mad at you for what happened. In fact what happened, the way I acted, was all me, it wasn't your fault." Sasuke said looking at the blonde, who was staring sadly at his plate.

"I couldn't and still can't understand why the boy I've loved since we were in the academy, was returning my feelings after everything I did to you and your friends." Sasuke's voice shakes, tears slip down his cheeks, his grip tightening on his chopsticks till they crack under the pressure.

"Why do you love me?! I nearly killed you, the one person I love more than anything, and your friends many times!" he screams sobbing and staring at the blonde, desperate for an answer. When Naruto remains quiet, he turns his head to stare at his lap, still sobbing. He hears a chair being pushed back and footsteps, but doesn't look up.

Naruto kneels beside Sasuke's chair. He reaches up and places his hand on Sasuke's tear stained cheek, forcing him to meet his cerulean blue eyes.

"I have loved you since I met you in the academy. My love grew more intense as time wore on. I still love you because without you, I wouldn't be the person I am today, if you hadn't done those things." Naruto gives him a genuine close-eyed smile. "You made me strive to become better, you made me the way I am, and because of that my love for you never left, it never dwindled. So, thank you."
