Samantha's Point of View
I woke up from the sound of my alarm, "Wake up Sam, you have school" the alarm read. With a sigh of reluctance, I knew that it's my first day of going to my new school. I grabbed my towel and went to take a shower, put on my eye patch, ate breakfast, and went on my way to the private school to endure homework, strict rules, maybe even strict teachers. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a very plain looking school. Its walls seemed to be made up of concrete, maybe even white bricks? Its entrance looked kinda... 2D, am I in the right school? I checked my phone, and it was the exact name: Here Private Academy. It was a strange name for a supposedly prestigious school. I checked around my surroundings, there were stairs that led up to the bright yellow doors that were the entrance, a large maple tree to my left of the pathway, and looking through the windows were bright blue doors marked with the number 99 on all of them. I later received a text from my dad of which the following said:
Dad: (Sam I forgot to tell you that the school doesn't open until 10:00 am)
(You're probably already walking or at the school already, sorry for the inconvenience)
(Also the principal is actually really nice! so please make a good first impression alright?)
(I'm gonna be coming home at 4:00 pm)
I sighed, of course he would forget something important. But it's not like I could blame him, he has two jobs, and has to pay for my school. With that, I could decide whether I should just leave and just go home, or just stay around and wait for some people. I figured that it would be best to just sit down and wait, chances are that I could get into serious trouble if I decided to just walk home. But risking expulsion on the first day wouldn't be worth it. I sat on the stairs and took out my Xtendo 3DS, since I would probably be bored at recess (or lunch break).
45 minutes later...
"Excuse me, are you Samantha Mcroid?" Asked the male and condescending voice.
I looked up to see a black haired man wearing a suit with striped sleeves, "Um... yes? Do you need something or..."
"No need to be nervous now, I'm your principal! You can trust me, so I heard all a lot about you from your father. Is that right?" he asked, "Um... yeah. I'm actually new here!"
The principal reached out their hand to me, "I'm William Romansen, it's a pleasure to meet you young miss!" he seemed very formal, not sure if he's just gonna pull a 180 and straight up be an ass or is really what he saids he is. Either way, I couldn't judge, this is a private school after all.
"Now, I really need to get going... I hope we'll see more of each other!" William waved and left in a quick pace before I got to say anything else. Strange, but a respectable guy...
10 minutes go by...
I see another man in yet in a green suit, he is bald but yet has a few strands of hair. He was carrying a brown sling bag, but seemed like he was in a rush.
"Oh hi! No time to explain, I'm gonna be late!!!" Those were the words that were last said before he burst through the yellow doors. This school is pretty unusual, including the teachers. But it's not like I could complain, it's better than that other crap school to begin with.
After 20 minutes of me catching Powermon, beating and losing to CPU's in Louie G.Kart, students finally start arriving. Hearing giggles of the juiciest rumors from one group, and even some others participating in dares, teasing, or just simply trying to survive school work and homework. But that soon came out of my mind when a boy with white hair faded in with a grayish blue, and a short brown haired girl wearing a rose red dress approached me. "Hey, is that an Xtendo 3DS?" the girl asked, "Yeah, why?" I said not wanting to bring more attention to myself, in which I failed miserably. "No reason, I just never really have seen any old Xtendo devices since the lite edition for the switch came out. Have you got to play Marty O.'s Mansion: Shadow Moon?" she asked again, "Actually I have, about 3 times to say the least, what's your name?" I should try to get to know her a bit more before anything major happens. "Oh I'm Penelope! And this Jack frost boy is my friend Jaden!" she saids while wrapping her arms around this boy to her right. "Yeah, she's kind of a 6 year old stuck in a teenager's body. But really, you can just call me Jay."
"So... I didn't really get any specific schedule, what do I do?" I asked awkwardly, "Well we have Math class in the morning, I'm sure you can come with us and ask Mr. Baldi" Penelope explained. "Who's Mr. Baldi?" I questioned again, "He's the teacher in the green suit, he would always be excited to teach math," said Jaden, "But, he is very strict. So I suggest that you be good, or else..." he continued. Strict, huh? What did Jaden mean by, "or else...?" After talking with Jaden and Penelope some more, we were interrupted by the bell. Once inside of the school, the walls were just as white as the outside, but the floor looked like it was made up of sand paper. But there was a scent in which was similar to copper coins, Man no wonder why this school needed money. Following Jaden and Penelope, we entered the classroom to the right, and was greeted by the man who just ran past me this morning. "Ah, I didn't think we'd meet again!" said Mr. Baldi, "Yeah... B-Baldi is your l-last name r-right?" I ask while trying not to laugh. "Don't worry, you're not the only one who's laughing, but please, you call me Baldimore. Sorry about running past you this morning, I was sort of in a rush..." he said while giving a nervous smile. "That's fine, still a bit tired from this morning as well," I say as I followed Penelope and sat next to her.
"Alright class, before we start we have a new student! Why not introduce yourself?" said Mr. Baldimore, "Uh- yes! Right!" I said as I got up from my chair. While walking to the front, I felt something light hit the back of my head. "Come on, we don't have all day," he said, I continued making my way to the front until I suddenly tripped. Laughter of young teens filled the room. Mr. Baldimore looked very disappointed, even to the point where I thought he just snapped, "Hey! Anyone who tries to make fun of any of my students will receive detention!" the laughter stopped. Personally, this isn't just as bad as the public school treatment that I've gotten, but this is just plain stupid. Mr. Baldimore came up to me all concerned, "Hey, are you alright? Can you stand?" he asked, "Y-Yeah... But this could've been worse."
He grabbed my arm and helped me up, "Now class, please try to be more respectful this time? You can start now," I took a deep breath, and just went on as told, "Hi, my name is Samantha Mcroid. Sorry, for uh... tripping just now, but I hope we can be good friends. Any... questions you wanna ask... me?"
(Bold - Me)
A boy with an orange and blue hoodie raised their hand, "Yeah, so what's with the eyepatch?" "That one, I don't really wanna answer... anything else?" I placed my hands at the back of my pants pockets.
"What made you come to this school?" a girl with braided hair asked, "I was just pulled out, it's not very great..."
The boy from the first question raised their hand again but asked very jokingly, "What's with the eyepatch? Are you a pirate who just gotten expell-" Baldimore interrupted the boy before he could finish his sentence, "Alright- I think that's enough questions for today, Stephen can you please not tease Samantha alright?" the boy just laughed, "Hahahaha, it's not like she'll do anything. Besides, it's probably her fault that she's here in the first place," then Penelope gasped out of shock, "Hey! Sam would never!"
"Children please, let's just get started on the lesson. Stephen you'll be serving detention for the recess. I'm starting to already have a headache," Mr. Baldimore sounded very agitated, to be honest, I felt sorry for him.
