Chapter 11

Charlie picks up her phone and smiles, "Hi Angel! Are you and Vivan ready to come back?"

Vaggie looks up at her girlfriend listening to her speak. "Do we need to Cherri proof the hotel..?"

"Oh! Good thinking I'll ask!" Charlie smiles and then speaks to Angel over the phone. "Hey, is Cherri coming back with you guys.... No?.... Alright!" She looks back at Vaggie shaking her head no.

Vaggie nods and flips through her magazine, "good."

Charlie listens to Angel and smiles, "Alright! I'm sending Razzle and Dazzle to get you two now! See ya in a bit," she hums and hangs up. As she turns to go get Razzle and Dazzle she jumps seeing them right behind her as if they knew she needed them. "Oh! Great, can you two go pick up Vivan and Angel at that new club in the middle of the Pentagram?" She asks, smiling at the two. The two demons nod in unison and dash off out of the hotel. She stretches, yawning and looks over at Vaggie.

Vaggie smiles softly and gets up going over to her. "You know it's pretty late," she says, noticing Charlie's tired eyes.

"Yeah...but I wanna stay up a bit more in case Al comes out of hiding..." Charlie says, seeming a bit worried.

"Are you sure babe? I mean you need sleep, you've been up since 6 am because of the whole freezer melt down in the kitchen..." Vaggie frowns worried for her love.

"I'm pretty sure..." Charlie yawns and shuts her eyes a bit. She soon leans back on the couch in the lobby and falls sleeps.

Vaggie rolls her eye and picks up Charlie. She smiles and holds her as she goes to the elevator and presses the button to the top floor. As soon as the elevator stops she gets out and carries Charlie to their room. She takes her suit jacket and shoes off her after she sets her down on the bed. She smiles looking at her demon lover and slips off her shoes. She gets in bed but a knock is heard at the door. She groans and gets up and covers Charlie up. She walks over to the door and opens it. She looks up and blinks at the tall radio demon in the doorway.

"Hello Vaggie dear can I speak to-" He says with a small smile till Vaggie cuts him off.

Vaggie glares at him speaking, "no she is sleeping. She is only sleeping because she has been wondering where your sorry ass has been lately. And that pisses me off that she is staying up late because she keeps blaming herself for what is going on between you and Vivan. And before you say that she should be blaming herself, I'd think twice about it. Since if you say that I'm going to double kill you in the most horrible way possible." She says whisper shouting as her bow peeks up into horns.

The sound of crickets fills the air as Alastor blinks seeming surprised. Soon he opens his mouth speaking causing the crickets to die down. "I was actually hoping I could have a word with you," He says with a small smile.

She looks at him surprised, "me?"

"Yes you dear, I have a few questions I want to ask you regarding what's happening between Vivan and I." He says, seeming a bit hopeful.

She sighs and looks at her feet. Charlie wouldn't let her hear the end of it if she said no to talking to Alastor. And if she did talk to him Charlie's mood would hopefully be better. She puffs out her cheeks and looks up at him. "Alright...," She says, making up her mind. "Let's go to Charlie's office so we can talk without waking her..." She says closing the door behind her and walking ahead of Alastor.

He smiles a bit as he follows behind her. "Thank you for agreeing to talk with me." He says smiling a bit as they go into the office.

She turns to look at him and notices that he doesn't have on his usual outfit. His dress coat is missing and his shirt is untucked. His usually neat hair is pulled back into a small ponytail and he looks sleep deprived. "Don't mention it...and are you okay....?" She asks seeing why Charlie was worried now.

He sighs and stands near a window looking out at the streets. "Why of course I am dear," he says with a sad smile.

She opens her mouth to ask him again but stops herself from pushing him. "Alright...so what would you like to talk about?" She asks standing by the desk.

"Well... how did you tell Charlie that you enjoyed her company?" He mutters pausing for a moment then turning around with bright eyes filled with nervousness.

She looks confused a bit at the question. "What...?"

He sighs and looks down again. "How did you go about telling Charlie that you enjoy her company," He asks again, seeming a bit anxious.

Vaggie looks at him surprised by the question. "Do you mean how I asked her to be my girlfriend?" Vaggie asks him hoping she was getting the idea.

"Oh well no, I mean before you two were lovers and you were very close friends," Alastor says quickly as he looks over at the windows as a breeze blows in.

"Soooo...ummmm....does this have to do with Vivian at all?" She asks curiously as she looks at the disheveled radio demon.

He sighs and rubs his face a bit. "I believe that it does," he says seeming unsure.

"What do you mean, 'I believe'?" She asks confused, "it's a yes or no answer."

"Vaggitha I can not say yes or no because i, myself, am confused about how I totally feel when around Vivan. But I can tell you that the small part of the night we had together that I can remember made me remember how much she brought joy into my eternal suffering here. So all I can say is that I enjoyed her company and would like to be in her company again." He says as he paces back and forth in front of the window.

"Al...do you think you're in love with her like you were in the past?" She asks curiously as she steps closer.

He sighs, "I believe I do...Husker helped me realize that the last time we spoke."

She blinks surprised, "Husk actually talked to you about feelings for no booze?"

He chuckles a bit, annoyed they were straying from the center of the conversation. "Yes, but that does not matter at the moment."

She nods, "okay, okay...so do you want to tell her what you feel?"

"I don't think she'd believe me if I did. But I think once I gain her trust again that I can tell her the truth. Till then though I shall try to be someone she can trust." He says looking down as he stops pacing.

She frowns and goes up to him and reaches up to rest a hand on his shoulder. "Al......I hate to admit it but I think that's one of your better plans."

He laughs lightly and looks at the short demon. "You know that actually means a lot coming from you," he smiles a bit.

She laughs and rolls her eye. "Thanks, and I best get back to Charlie before she realizes I'm not in bed."

He nods and the two leave the office. "Not a word?" He asks her as he walks away.

"Not a word," she smiles faintly before disappearing into Charlie's room.
