Am I enough yet for you mother dearest?"No," she says.
"Your failing this and that and your doing this and that!" She yells.
I have a good grade in that course
In that one
And that one
And that one
Why are you yelling mother dearest?
Am I enough for you mother dearest?
I'm stressed enough with work
That's why I do it on separate days
"Do it all at once!" She says.
Sending me the answers for assignments not due til later
Assignments I enjoy doing
Assignments I help others with
So I comply with her
I get off my game early and cut off my friends and lover
Then I go to bed in tears
Am I enough for you yet mother dearest?
I lay in bed
Crying myself to sleep
My body racking itself with sobs
Eventually drifting to sleep with a tear stained face
My head full of stress that I just got rid of
Still wondering
Am I enough for you yet mother dearest?
