Chapter Thirteen: New Years Party

"Hunter hurry up we're going to be late for Jimmy's New Years party," Tyler yells from the living room of our apartment.

"Calm your balls Tyler, I just have to put on my heels," I yell at my best friend.

"You should be wearing heels anyways you just stopped walking without crutches," Tyler reminds me. I roll my eyes. I continue to put on my heels. I walk out of my room and into the living room. I sit down next to Tyler on the couch and I rest my head on his bicep.

"Do we have to go?" I ask his brown eyes, meeting my blue ones.

"Yes, I told Jimmy we would be there," Tyler says to me standing up from the couch and he grabs my hands helping me up off the couch.

"Fine," I cave.

Tyler and I arrive at Jimmy's house where there are lots of cars parked in the driveway and the street. Tyler and I walk up to the door and I knock on it. The door opens to reval Jimmy. He allows us in the house.

"Hey Hunter, I seen that you are performing at the Grammys," Jimmy mentions to me. Kendrick and Bam both walk over to us. They dap Tyler and look at me.

"Yeah, I am."

"Why didn't you say anything to me?" Tyler asks me, looking down at me.

"Because Ty it's not that big of a deal," I tell him, I wrap my arm around his waist.

"Hey Hunter, why don't sing something for us?"Bam suggests to me.

"Sure why not," I said, shrugging my shoulder. Everyone gathers in Jimmy's living room.

It's almost midnight and it's raining hard. I'm sitting outside getting some fresh air, rain drops pouring down my face.

"Hunter," I recognize that voice anywhere. Tyler.

I turn around and he standing near the door.

"What are you doing out here in the rain?" He asks me coming closer to me.

"Getting some fresh air-" I answer when he cuts me off.

"I love you Hunter. I have loved you since we were kids. I hated Paxton because I wished that it was me. I knew that he didn't love you like I did. You deserved better but it took you so long to realize that he wasn't right for you. I wanted to tell you so many times. Especially after the accident, I-" He says but he's cut off by everyone in this house counting down.

I step closer to Tyler and look up at him. He smashes his lips onto mine. I kiss back, his hands place themselves on my cheeks. Our lips part and we both hear hollers, we turn and Jimmy, Bam, Derrick, and Kendrick standing inside looking at us. Jimmy opens the door.

"T, finally grew some balls," Jimmy yells at the two of us.

"K Nunn, DJ, you both owe Jimmy and I 50 bucks," Bam says to them.

"You guys had a bet on us," I say looking to the three men.

"Yeah, I mean we could tell that he is love with you. We've had this bet since October," Kendrick informs us.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me," I yell at the three men.

"Nope," Bam said through his laughter.

"Ignore them," Tyler said turning me face him.

"Sorry."

"Hunter Iphigenia Jameson, will you be my girlfriend?"
