Kat's POV
Oh shit I thought I can't get in trouble if I do my parents will cut me off. My palms were getting sweaty. Ugh I am horrible in these situations. I looked over at Kylie she looked calm. She gave me look that said I should calm down.
"Yes I see well this is their first time late" the counselor said to the phone. I looked at Riley she had a relieved look on her face.
"What's going on?" I whispered to Riley she turned to me.
"Thank god my dad must have picked up and probably hooked up the school with supplies!" She whispered back sounding happy and relieved.
"Ladies you are free to go back to class Ms. Summer your father has made a generous donation you may leave." I got up and followed them.
"Not you Kat this is your third time coming in late you are serving detention I will not call your parents this time!"the counselor said handing me a slip. I walked out and saw the girls waiting for me. I held up the slip and they laughed.
"Kat try to make friends ok." Kylie said while walking together to our last class. I was scribbling in my notebook. Looking at the clock every second. I looked at Riley she was look like she was lost in her thoughts. I look at Kylie she was staring at Luke he was oblivious to her staring at him. Then I felt like someone was burning holes into me so I turn back and look to see the dick who called me a poser Calum staring at me. We were staring at each which seemed like forever.
"Riiiinnnngggg" the bell sounded it woke me up from my trance. I grabbed my stuff and walked out the door.
"Bye loves I don't know if I will be able to handle it!" I said sarcastically looking at them.
"Oh Kat shut up!"Kylie said Riley came up to us.
"Want us to walk you to detention?" Riley asked.
"Yah please!" I said we made our way and arrived.
"Bye guys see you later!" I waved goodbye. I walked in to find the one and only Calum sitting their he was the only other person their. I sat down in the front. Again I felt someone burning holes at me.
"Take a picture it last longer!" I said he came up and sat next to me.
"Hello my name is Calum." He said looking at me.
"Yah I know who you are you're Riley brother!" I said he leaned in closed he looked at me. I was creeped out. Then a teacher came in and I was like thank you I don't know what he would have done if we were alone any longer.
"Please sign in after that you guys may leave I don't want to babysit students." I signed in and ran out of the place I wanted to get away from that freak Calum. Someone grabbed my hand and I freaked out.
"HELP!!!" I yelled out then the person covered my mouth. I turned around to see Calum.
"What the hell are you doing sneaking up on people." I said catching my breath.
"What are you going to go do?" He asked.
"I am going to go home!" I said.
"You don't want to go do anything?"he asked.
"No!" I said
"Why?"he asked.
"If I say yes will you stop bugging?!" I asked.
"Yah!" He said
"Ok what do you want to do?" He asked
"Well I am really hungry but I don't want to go get food." I said.
"Why don't we go get food I know you don't want to but I'll pay" he offered
"Fine where?" I asked
"Just follow me." He said and I followed I put on my earphones so that we won't have to talk. When we arrived I looked at the place it was tiny and looked like it served good food.
"Lady's first" he said I walked in and thought what a gentleman.
"What do you want I am going to get combo 5 and you?" He asked
"Get me the same thing." I said after we waited for the order to be ready we took the bags and I followed Calum. We came to the park. I got this feeling in my stomach. Oh shit why am I getting this feeling!!
"This spot should be good!" He sat down and took out the food he handed me my order.
"Thank you for the food." I said he looked up and I noticed he was really good looking.
"Your welcome so why did you get in trouble?" He asked
"I came in late then sneaked into school your dad was able to not get us in that much trouble but not me because it wasn't my first coming in late." I said and took my last bite of my food. Calum had finished his food a long time ago.
"Do you want to go?" He asked standing up.
"Yah let's go!" I said he gave me his hand to pick me up. He pulled me up to fast and that caused me to trip. I was just waiting from my face to feel the hard ground but instead felt something else break my fall. I opened my eyes and found Calum staring back at me. I got lost in his eyes are lips were so closed together he leaned in but I got up and dusted myself.
"I should better go home!" I said bending down and nervously grabbing my things.
"No I'll walk you." He said grabbing his stuff and walking on my side. I put on my earphones again to avoid an awkward conversation. He walked me to my porch.
"Thank you for walking me you didn't have to." I said looking at the ground.
"Don't worry I had fun we should does this again." He said
"Umm sure I don't know? Can we keep this a secret I don't want anything between your sister and me to change." I said looking at him.
"I get it to don't worry you won't hear anything coming out of me. Umm here I just want to keep in touch." He said handing me his number I blushed I fumbled to get my keys.
"Bye" he said I waved goodbye and raced to my room upstairs and looked out the window and saw Calum looking up at the window of my room. I had a smile the rest of the night.
