A simple okay or fine would have been okay but she explained how bored she was from losing her hair.

"Is there anything hard in losing your hair?" He found himself asking.

He didn't know why he asked that. He would have simply ignored her but he kind of wanted to hear her talk. She seems fun to talk with.

"Ha... It's very hard. I hate losing hair. It's like a death sentence to me." She said closing the box containing the monopoly game.

Demilade just chuckled and shakes his head.

"But why didn't you make your hair?"

Lola was shocked that he is making conversation freely with her but she replied anyway.

"I have to wash and let it dry first." She said. "I will make it tomorrow." He just nodded in response.

She adjusted the centre table properly on the black rug at the centre of the living room.

"Do. And we are going out tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow?" She asked, surprised. "Isn't it a weekday or is it the kind of dinner party like the other time?"

"No. It's just an evening outing with my friends at the club. They want me to bring you along. So get prepared tomorrow. My driver will come to pick you up in the evening. You can dress casually but make sure it is okay."

Lola heaved a sigh. She wished it won't be some boring place. Deborah came back to tell Demilade that his food was ready.

He stood up and followed her to the dinner.

"Sir, won't you shower and change your clothes?" Deborah asked since it was something he usually does before eating his supper. But he was going to the dining still in his suit. He had only taken off his suit and tie.

"It's fine. It will do that after I finish eating." He answered politely. Then he settled down to eat his food.

"You can go and sleep. I will take care of the dishes."

"No, sir. It's okay." She disagreed.

"And I insisted. Go and sleep. I'll be fine." He said with a tone which she can't argue with.

She nodded and replied. "Okay, sir. Thank you."

She went to the sitting room and met Lola who was now chatting on her phone. She told her she was going to her quarters and they would see her the next day. And she left.

It was already past twelve. Although, she was enjoying the chat with her friends since all of them except Ada were online. But she was already getting sleepy and she wondered if Demilade was still eating - because he can be very slow in eating or he had probably gone to bed.

She turned off her phone and went to the dining. He wasn't in the dining room. She was about to turn to go up to her room when she heard a clinging sound coming from the kitchen.

She wondered who was there since Debbie had gone to sleep. She walked to the kitchen and she met Demilade washing the plates and cups he used for eating which leave her astounded.

He was backing her, facing the dishwasher. He had taken off his suit and his purple shirt is roll up to the elbow.

"Why are you doing that? You could have just left it for us to wash. Let me help you." She said quickly moving close to him. But he held out his wet hand.

"Don't worry. I can do it."

"You should have called me at least. There are two women in the house to do that." She said with a small frown.

"This isn't a big deal. Moreover, I do this myself before having a maid." He said and he let the soapy water drain out of the dishwasher turning on the tap for water to rinse the plate.

Lola nodded in understanding. The guy was an enigma. She thought shaking her head.

"But you didn't take off your wristwatch," Lola informed with a mocking tone. He turned his wrist and looked at the leather watch.

          He shrugged indifferently.

"It's fine. There are others, so it's no biggie." He said nonchalantly.

      Lola rolled her eyes.

"Okay oh. Good night." She told him.

"Good night." He replied not looking at her and she went away to her room.
