CHAPTER FIVE - A TOUCH OF PARADISE

Start from the beginning

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to make her cheat. That's not her and that's not my plan. Yes, they care about each other, but they have no chemistry. They aren't in love. I just have to make her see what it could be like with someone who truly loves her. Who can't live without her. Who needs her more than oxygen.

It's Thursday night and I have the house to myself. Brads already gone to work, so I'm sitting on the couch flicking channels trying not to clock watch or think about Lucy.

Brad and I are heading down to his parents tomorrow morning. I'm excited to head back to Margaret River. I spent a few holidays there with the Morgan's as a teenager. It's where I taught Lucy to surf. Fuck, that was a good summer. Teaching her how to stand on a board, having the excuse to put my hands on her slim waist. Damn she looked good in a bikini too.

The memory of her soft skin under my fingertips is making me hard. For not the first time this week, I rub one out thinking of Lucy

****************

Brad gets home from work around 7am and we head off after he has a shower. He has to go back to work Sunday night so we are trying to make the most of his time off. We chatted for a bit about his shift before he drifted off to sleep and I made the drive in silence.

I was completely focused on getting to Lucy.

After the long drive I pulled into their street and searched for the number of their house. I hadn't been back here since the last family holiday I went on with them just before Lucy moved to London. I found the number and pulled into the driveway behind Brads' commodore that Lucy and Ryan took on Tuesday. I slap Brad on the shoulder as I undo my seatbelt.

"Wake up. We're here." Brad blinks his eyes open, scanning his surroundings after his rude awakening.

"Fuck, that went quick." I laugh and open the door to get out of the car, glad to stretch my legs after the long drive.

"That's because you slept the whole way." He yawns and wipes the sleep out of his eyes before undoing his seatbelt and opening the door.

"Sorry about that." I shrug and get out of the car, popping the boot to get our bags.

"I'd have done the same thing if I'd been up all night." Brad grabs his bag and walks up to the front door. He opens it and walks straight into the house.

"Mum! Dad! We're here!" he calls out

"In the kitchen!" I smile when I hear Diana's voice. She's always been like a second mum to me, especially after my mum died. I follow Brad through to the kitchen where Diana stands at the bench, Richard is reading the paper at the table and Lucy and Ryan are out on the back veranda

"My boys!!" Diana runs around the bench and pulls us both into a hug making me chuckle.

"Good to see you, Diana."

"Hey mum." Brad mumbles in her grip. Diana lets us go and steps back to look at me, resting her hands on my biceps.

"My god you've gotten big. You aren't taking steroids are you? Because you know they will shrink your junk" Brad bursts into laughter at her statement

"Diana!!!" Richard scolds his wife. I can't help but chuckle. Diana has never had a filter. It can be unnerving to the unsuspecting victim but I'm used to it .

"What? I'm just concerned!" She looks to Richard who stands stoically watching her. I gave up trying to read Richard a long time ago. His facial expressions give nothing away, saved for the tiniest lift of the corner of his mouth when he's amused.

"No Diana, no steroids, just hard work." I shake my head

"Good." She nods then turns to Brad. "Brad, I've set up the futon in the study for Seb. Can you show him where it is?"
