tattoos i want

now i'm not saying i'm gonna get these tattoos, but i think they're pretty cool and i want them

i'd probably get this on my ribcage, ankle, or clavacle, and i'd probably have it altered to look like the statue/person were more androgynous so it could represent anyone

dinosaurs! i loved dinosaurs as a kid and i still love them now, honestly. i'd probably get this on my left wrist

queer tattoo! i think this one's really pretty and sends a crystal queer message: if you're not okay with me being bi don't get with me in the first place please. i'd probably get this on my right leg or clavacle/collarbone

writing this makes me remember one time when i was texting my (kinda mean) female crush (didn't know it was a crush at the time) sorta late. my parents had this rule where i couldn't text or call anyone past 8 andit was like ten but my parents let it go. anyway we were like ten and we started talking abour tattoos we'd get as adults and then i suggested we get matching tattoos as an adult like thw fuckin SIMP i was, and she was like "yeah sure" and i remember i mentally gushed about it for WEEKS

during that conversation she sent me some selfies of her and i remember for weeks i'd look at those pictures (nothing inappropriate) on the bus ride home and just look at how pretty she was

and then i was like "wait is this gay" and then internalized homophobia

that's fun let's tell another story about tattoos

my dad has a lot of tattoos, and there was this one time when i was around 12 that my dad told me he wanted to get a Confederate flag tattoo. i didn't care back then because i wasn't listening, bur recently he brought it up agaim, and i told him how it was problematic.

"That's a pretty racist flag."

"The civil war wasn't just about slavery, you know."

"I'm well aware, but slavery was still a part of it and the south still defended it."

"It was about more than that-"

"I know, it was a matter of state vs federal government as well, but you can't deny that slavery-condoning ideals are represented with that flag."

"It's not just slavery-"

"You're right, it's racism too. And lynching. And segregation-"

"Briar!"

"I don't know about you, but in my school we were taught that slavery was a bad thing."

"And I was too! Don't be condescending about it!"

"Well then stop defending something that is commonly looked at as racist in today's world."

"That's just sad, don't you think?"

"No, it's not sad! It's fucking progress!"

"But-"

and the best part is, our family isn't even from what's considered the south. i mean, yeah he's from southern Illinois, but Illinois has typically been considered a democrat state.

maybe it's his asshole parents to blame who knows. to be fair, he went through some shit as a kid

or maybe it's their asshole parents? i mean my grandpa was abandoned in a shopping cart as a child

so the whole ass bloodline is fucked. seriously my brother and i are prone to being an alcoholic, smoker, diabetes, overweight (already am), and chronic idiocy apparently.
