"Who I want to lay in bed with has nothing to do with you!" I snapped at Aro. He chuckled while Alice's eyes widened at my boldness. "Of course it doesn't. I just hope you are successful in gaining their affections."

"JENNA! GET YOUR ASS UP AND GET READY FOR SCHOOL!" Felix yelled from downstairs. "Yes sir!" I called back. I jumped out of bed, showered, brushed my teeth and got dressed.
I threw on a black hoodie that practically engulfed my small frame and pulled on black leggings. I jammed my feet into my black combat boots with white stars on the sides and put on my backpack that was covered in constellations.
I ran downstairs before Felix yelled at me again. "Here. Go before you're late." He shoved a granola bar in my hand and pushed me out the front door. "Make sure your ass is in this house by 4:00. Understand?!" I quickly nodded. "Yes sir." I got in my car and drove to school.
If he didn't have a tracker on my car, I'd never come home ever again. Felix and his wife, Gretchen, adopted me when I was three. Gretchen really wanted kids but Felix just wanted sex. After a lot of begging, he finally agreed to adoption. Two years later, Gretchen died of a heart attack. Felix blamed it on me since I apparently caused too much stress for Gretchen.
That's how I became Felix's personal chef, maid, and punching bag. I've been to the hospital more times then I can count. Worst case scenario was Felix broke a bone or two. From the ones I mainly remember; I had my jaw wired shut at age 10, fractured wrist at 12 and 13, snapped tibia at 14, and recently a sprained ankle from being thrown down the stairs.
I plan to leave Forks when I'm eighteen. Only two more years of Felix and then I'm free. If I even make it to eighteen. I parked my car in the parking lot, pulled on my hood and got out of the car. I heard the whispers as I limped into school.
