It was a cold dark night. Not even the moon dared to shine. The clouds had covered the sky with thir darkest gray and the wind blew harder than ever. No living creature dared to go out that night, but at the distance, among all that darkness and madness of the imposing storm that was covering the forest, a tiny silhuette followed by other six or seven bigger silhuettes were running. Panting for breath and quick steps could be heard. Suddenly, a lightning made the scene clearer. It was a young female werewolf, followed by other werewolves.
The girl was tired, but she knew that she had to keep on running. She had to scape from her hounters, otherwise, she would suffer a horrible death, or a short life of condemtion. Her sight was getting blury, and her legs had not much strength left; she knew that she would not continue running for so long. There was no scaping, no hiding place, not moment for taking a breath or resting a bit. All the werewolves behind her were skillful warriors, and expert hounters with a sharp sense of smell and fierce bodies that could get everywhere. She was starting to give up.
Another lightning could be seen from affar, and there at the distance, a place seemed to shine among the trees. She thought that she could get help from that place that the lightning showed. Her feet were not reacting to her orders properly, and her movements across the forest were clumsier as she advanced; however, she ran as fast as she could to get to the place.
The hounters were each moment nearer, and she was becoming slower. In one moment of clumsiness, her legs did not respond, and she fell in the ground. Quiclky, she used the last of strength left in her arms, and continued running. The wind was colder and harder, the lighnings brighter and sharpy, and the thunders louder and scary. The hard rain was about to arrive. The growls and howls of the wolfmen were each moment near of the wolfgirl, but she felt she would be safe when she got to the shining place. Sadly, her hope started to fade when si got to the crushed with the place. It was a well made of crystal. She had heard about it before, but she had no idea of ow it could help her. Some other creatures had said that it granted wishes, but she did not know how its magic worked, neither did she have time to find it out. She heard her hounters close, and she thought that if she jumped, she could have a better death than the one she would have in their hands.
She stepped in the cristal wall, and jumped to the void. In that same moment, the wolfmen were reaching the pool, but they could not stop her from jumping. The leader of the hunters felt frustrated, and wanted to follow the young werewolf to the pool, but his camarades warned him that he would die if he did it. The took for granted that the young werewolf had died in the pool.
The wolfmen sorrounded the pool, and the rain started to fall. The rest of wolfmen suggested their leader to go back home before the storm got harder, but the wolf man decided to stay a bit more to assure that the wolfgirl did not scape. They did not dare to disobey their captain, and guarded the pool for some hours. Rain was hard, and they considered that the wolfgirl would not survive to that hard storm in the pool, and even if she had not fallen in the pool, she could have not endure too long in the walls of the pool. They waited untill the breaking down, and with the sunlight, they took a look into the pool. They could not see the bottom because the pool seemed to be too deep to see it, so they decided to go back home.
