"Push!" Ashwillow meowed. Leafstar cringed and pushed harder. "Almost there!" Leafstar grunted and with all her might, she pushed further. A small sack plopped out. Ashwillow gingerly opened it. "Congratulations! A tom!" Leafstar purred and licked the kit. Freezing, she started to push again, allowing Ashwillow to take over.
"Be careful! Now push!" said a queen named Willowflower. "I remember that it hurt a lot, but it's all worth it!" Leafstar managed a weak smile and pushed harder. A second kit plopped down, mewling.
"Another tom! Congratulations! That's all!" Ashwillow said. Leafstar smiled and licked her two kits.
"Duststorm!" Leafstar said hoarsely. He went over to her, surveying the kits.
"They're beautiful." he breathed. Leafstar grinned again and said,
"What should we name them?"
"This one should be Rushkit." he motioned at the tom that had umber-brown fur, a snow white chest, emerald green eyes, light brown patches, obviously from Duststorm. Leafstar purred at the name.
"This one will be Rainkit." she indicated the one that was identical to his father. Duststorm purred and nodded.
