All the while, Demilade sat quietly listening to the women's discussion. Lola could see that he was bored as he sipped his wine.
After some time, Mrs Jolaoluwa stood up to leave so she could give the couple some time and space alone. And they both walked her to her car where her driver and bodyguards were waiting.
"Follow me." Demilade groaned when he entered the living room behind her.
They had watched his mother's jeep drive out of the compound. When she noticed Demilade wasn't saying anything and his eyes were still on the pathway, she walked back inside the house. She heard his footsteps following behind her and then his voice resonated inside the heavenly living room. She looked at his back as he climbed up the stairs for a split second before doing as she was told, quietly.
He lead her up the stairs unto a short hallway and he opened the door to a room. He threw the key on the table beside the door. And he practically dragged her into the room.
"What the hell was that Lola?" He said angrily. "Is that what I said you should say? You can't tell that you are stupid not to get those eyes communication. I gave you the rules. So you are making me look like a fool to my mother?" He barked at her.
"Do you have to push me?" She asked angrily, ignoring the rest of the things he said. That wasn't her concern at the moment but the fact that he pulled her into the room roughly. She was holding back not yelling at him. How could he pretend to be sweet a moment ago and now a jerk?
"Is that what I am asking? Sholape told you just as I reminded you. I hope you have accomplished your goal of making me look like a lying son who doesn't even know his girlfriend?" He growled with an angry expression.
"Hey, wait first and foremost, don't you dare yell at me!" She said and he was astounded. "I'm not the one who asks you to lie to your mother. What she thinks of you after what happens today is not my problem. You made the decision so deal with it. It was already enough that we had to lie to her that I am your girlfriend and you want to lie about who I am and my profession. You should have asked me what I also wanted. I am the one doing most of the job. I'm not an actress. "
"You should have known that before you accepted the deal." Demilade spatted.
She heaved a sigh and said. "I don't blame you. But anyway she believes me, doesn't she? And nothing spoils. So what's with the attitude? And If you aren't okay with it or you need an actress that follows the script, you should have hired one. And one more thing, don't ever touch me. That is what is written in the agreement. Right?" She asked with exasperation.
He stood in awe. He looked at her like she had grown two horns.
"What do you just say?" He asked with a scoff.
"Literally what you hear. Don't get me angry Demilade and we will be good. If this is my room you can leave now. I want to change my clothes." She said and she turned away angrily.
He stared at her for a long time.
"We are not done." He said which she rolled her eyes at, turning away. She heard the door slam shut.
She wiped the tears that fall from her eyes. She hated people yelling at her. And she hated to be treated like garbage. That is why she tried her best to stay away from people that aren't her type.
She walked to the bed and sat on it. And she looked at the room for the first time. It was neat and quite large. It was bigger than her room and brother's room combined actually. It was decorated with blue wallpaper and it was so cool and beautiful. The bed also have a blue comforter on it. And the floor was tiled.
