I have always wondered about the sea..

it must be the oldest creation there ever was..

Possibly carrying all the world's secrets.

What is it about secrets that is so intriguing?

Well the ocean must know..I guess?

Dear diary,

Today I vow to bury all my secrets in the sea (well the shore since I can not possibly get away with being wet, that would make me have a whole lot of explaining to do)

Today I turn twenty, Anna knew my passion to write down everything on my mind on paper, and so she gave me a leather diary with a lock, a lock!! Like that will keep Sergio from breaking it, as well mannered as he may seem, he was never one to respect his younger sister's privacy.

Today and everyday I shall go down to the coast (nearly a 5 minute walk) and bury the paper of that particular day in the sand.

Neither Sergio, nor anyone will be able to know my "secrets"

Happy birthday to me!

I.L.

Living by the ocean, Isabella Lorenzo grew up mesmerized by the beauty and all the amazement the sea had to offer, she would play by the sea everyday with her older brother Sergio, but as years flew by, she found herself taking walks on the beach alone, with her governess ofcourse, a lady in this time would never leave her home by herself, it would ruin her reputation. And Sergio - being 5 years older than she is - eventually found different types of entertainment, ones that she as a Lorenzo lady was never to partake in. Nevertheless her daily ritual by the sea has never changed, whether it was to play or as she grew older to simply walk and embrace the salty air the wind had to offer.
But leading the dull life that she always had, Isabella knew there must be more adventure that awaits, and now turning twenty she thought she had to add suspense to her life. Her idea of suspense was for sure limited, but she tried to make the most of it. And it is then that she decided that every night after writing her diary, she would rip the page and go to the ocean by midnight and bury it by the shore. Surely no one would notice her missing since she had a ladder that would lead down to their backyard from her window. "A little too adventurous now, are we?" She said to herself chuckling and enjoying the adrenaline rush she felt ripping that page out of the diary. She dressed in Sergio's black costume and put her black hair in a scarf trying to hide her identity and sex in that matter. "That should do" she mumbled although she had a feeling that this would not be the perfect outfit, but who will be by the ocean by midnight when it's all so dark and rather cold, she thought. She opened her window and took a peak, a sensation of fear crippled on her, but she brushed it off, "You wanted suspense, let's not back off now Izzy!" She said to herself as she climbed out of the window and down the ladder. "Oh if dad finds out? MOM? What if SERGIOO FOUND OUT?.. shuush now, embrace the moment Izzy" she mumbled as she reached the last step on the ladder and WHOOSH, there she was in the backyard dressed all in black, she looked rather like a thief hiding her hair, face, and dressed in what may have looked like a black potato bag if there ever was any. Isabella was a petite brunette with big green eyes, a sight to see, just not today in this rather role playing.

She walked out the backyard sneaking behind her shoulder every once in a while, the 5 minutes walk felt like a lifetime with all the fear, excitement, and suspense she was feeling. But it was mostly fear. Isabella - although she always had an adventurous soul - had never once dared do something so unplanned mostly because the Lorenzos were ones to always keep their manners in check being amongst the most respectful and powerful families in Spain. But she had to try and set her careless soul free, who knows what can happen in 2 years? She would have to marry, and lord only knows who her father and Sergio would approve of. She knew it in her heart that she will end up with someone she did not love, but then again who did nowadays?
