I do not own The Dragon Prince. This is only a fanfiction with the reader in it because I know there are people like me who wishes they were in the show.

"That's all for today. Have a nice weekend!" Your teacher exclaimed to the class as the bell rang and everyone was packing up, eager to finally leave.

You made your way over to the door, where your friend was waiting for you. "Hey, ready to go?" They asked you.

"Yeah, let's go." You answered and walked out of the classroom.

You two walked over to your lockers, passing by the bunch of students who were taking buses home and didn't want to miss them, or students who simply couldn't wait to get home. It was Friday after all.

Once you arrived at your locker, you entered your lock combination and sorted out the things you were bringing home and put them in your backpack. Your friend joined you soon after they got their things.

You then headed out of the school through the front doors and started walking home with your friend next to you. You talked about a bunch of things, how much homework you had, what you were doing this weekend, and a bunch of shared interests you had."

"Alright, this is my street, get home safe!" They told you while going to cross the street.

"Bye! See you Monday!" You said back and headed for the entry of the forest that you took to get home faster. You loved it. It wasn't a creepy forest, there was a path and the beautiful trees covered the sun's light just enough to feel isolated from the rest of the world. You could walk alone, no one walking slowly in front of you or too fast behind you. Just you walking at your own comfortable pace.

You looked down at your dragon necklace, clutching it. It was very precious to you, you felt connected to it for some reason. It was a gift from your sister because she knew you of your fascination for dragons. You've always loved them, but even more when you watched the series The Dragon Prince. You loved everything about it. Xadia, the elves, the dragons!! You always dreamed about being transported in its world and get to meet your favourite characters. You watched the three seasons multiple times each and you almost remembered every line in the show.

You thought back to the day she gave you the necklace.

"This is for you. I went to an antique shop earlier today and when I saw this I felt this urge to buy it for you."

Your 6 years old self was crazy over the gift. You gave your sister a hug and expressed your happiness, "Thank you so much! I love it!" You took the necklace in your hands and proceeded to try and put it on yourself, but struggled.

Your sister giggled, "Here, let me put it on you." You gave the piece of jewelry back to her and turned around. She put the necklace around your neck and once she was done, your sister placed her hands on your shoulders, turning you around.

"It suits you so well! It's almost like you were meant to wear it."

Ever since she gave it to you, you tried to take it off the least you could. You really felt connected to your necklace.

Suddenly, you tripped over a branch that you had not seen hence being lost in thought, making you fall on the ground. Groaning, you slowly sat up on your knees. Thankfully there was no one around, one of the benefits of walking in the forest.

You looked down at your hands, seeing the scratches from your fall, when you suddenly hear a weird noise in front of you. Scared you were actually wrong and someone did see you embarrassingly trip over that branch, you slowly looked up. But what you saw wasn't a person, it was a portal made of different shades of purple.
