"Well, Dave is sleeping right now on the floor. But you can tell me." Clay said tiredly, Zak could hear that there was no energy in his voice.

"Okay.." Zak said, then he started to cry.

"What the- Zak are you okay?" Clay asked, obviously panicked. He had never dealt with this before.

"I'm fine." Zak sniffled, Clay put on his hoodie and put the phone on speaker.

"I'm coming over, tell me all about it there." Clay said, before Zak could stop him Clay hung up.

"Oh shit." Zak said, wiping away tears. He wanted Dave to be his, but guess not. He was Clay's, and Zak didn't like that at all. He put his head on his knees crying.

He knew Dave for such a long time. Clay barely knew him, he just met him almost a year ago-

Zak heard the door open and someone's footsteps come to his room and open the door quickly, closing it quietly.

"You came here quick." Zak said, his voice shaking. Clay knew that Zak was obviously crying, the voice and how he looked. He was a mess.

Clay sat on the bed.

"Cause I'm fast as F, boy." Clay said, in an attempt to make Zak laugh. Zak only smiled but returned to looking sad. "What is this about, Zak?" Clay sighed.

"You and Dave." He said, wiping a tear away. Clay looked at him in interest. "You are his soulmate and I'm not."

Clay smiled and put a reassuring hand on Zak's shoulder.

"Not everything is the way you want it, I know." Clay said softly, his voice soothing the other. Zak felt calmer but tears still trickled down his cheeks. "But life is just like that sometimes. You don't get what you want and someone else gets it. Like the saying, another man's trash is another man's future. I think that's how it went."

Zak looked up at him and Clay gave him a small but caring smile. Zak felt himself smile too.

"And you see, you'll find someone who is just right for you. Who is just perfect for you, and even if you know them, you don't notice that they complete you until you actually meet them. For all you know, maybe Bad is your soulmate." Clay said, pointing to Zak's phone. "You missed a voicemail."

Zak looked at his phone and played the voice mail.

"Aw, he's the cutest muffin I've ever seen!"  Zak knew this was Darryl's voice.

"I was right!" Clay said happily, Zak wiped away his tears.

"Damn. I forgot to open my own voicemail." Zak said, both of them laughed.

"I told you, you'll find someone who completes you even when you don't know it. You were too focused on Dave, and I don't blame you." Clay giggled, and then returned to being sincere. "Now, in the morning talk to Bad about it."

Zak nodded and Clay opened the door to leave.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Skep." Clay said, Zak heard him quickly leave and his car go away. This made Zak think.

"Wait. Why did he order an Uber if he had a car?"

-

Zak smiled brightly as he saw Darryl go into the kitchen.

"Zak, could we talk?" Darryl asked, nervous as hell. Zak leaned on the counter, nervous but he had confidence. If Clay was right, Darryl would complete him. And now that he thought about it, he did.

Darryl was always so supportive but naive, and Zak loved that. It was always so fun when he messed around with him.

"What is it?" He said, Darryl sighed and went up to him.
