hello friends, it's been awhile. i'm sorry for my disappearance over the past few weeks, i hit s design block then everything became really overwhelming and then i guess it got hard to slide back into the rhythm of things.

i come bearing 2 graphics but also some stuff i'd really appreciate if you listened to:

contemporary

1. i've noticed a lot of people haven't said much about BLM on wattpad, i think it's important we have these conversations and acknowledge the hardships many black people face. it's a struggle to combat unwarranted hate beyond ones control, so please think about that. as a black person, especially in predominantly white spaces i find it hard to have or even navigate these type of conversations, because they "make people uncomfortable." yeah, i think i prefer making you uncomfortable as opposed to sitting in silence.

2. i have resources to help with the movement in my 'conversations' tab of my wattpad profile, it's both on a global and irish level. say their names, don't forget their names and honour their names.

3. to everyone who went to protests or couldn't, keep fighting, don't let this be a fad.

finished earlier today, uhm idk how i feel about it but it's fine, i've come to terms w the fact that my photoshop cannot in fact make me something great on it's free will and i do shockingly need to know what i'm doing... le sigh

questions worth asking

i was tagged by the lovely tdoroki and i'm tagging beauior, yourlocalidiot and athenated and anyone reading this to do this :)

1. IF YOU WERE GIVEN A CHANCE TO CHANGE THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

for me this would be to give everyone equal access to opportunity, i think i believe that wealth and privilege go a long way. ironically both usually come from destruction, death and pillage; there are a lot of factors to consider and by ensuring equal opportunity it eradicates a lot of them. sex, religion and race become less meaningful.

2. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY TO YOUR LEADERS?

fuck you, lol, okay maybe not that exactly but. damn, they really don't do much in regards to not only racial but political and enviormental and even economical issues. the president is cool mostly because he does nothing.... he do be a smol king tho

the taoiseach (pm) has thankfully been swapped and idk enough about the new one to make a call. but honestly i'd urge them to make changes and to listen to the youth of this country. there is a serious issue with subtle and casual racism and microaggressions. not only this but there is so much bias and hate towards the travelling community who are technically a minority group in Ireland.

3. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE BLM MOVEMENT?

100 percent for it periodt. i don't think  need to elaborate further.

4. HOW ARE YOU DOING IN THIS TIME OF QUARANTINE?

i am okay now, and that's okay. i may be terrible the next day or amazing the day after but i'm content with just okay. 

5. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY TO YOUR FELLOW YOUTH SO THAT A NEW ERA COULD START? ONE OF EQUALITY AND LOVE?

do not forget history, race is not a political issue and white privilege is real. that being said, preformative allyship does nothing for us, it helps literally no one, sign petitions, contact your local TDs/ governors and urge for both social and political reform. love those around you, love yourself.
