Adora's POV
The stars were shining so bright, it was almost blinding. Catra sat next to me, her eyes slowly fluttering and then closing. She couldn't stay awake any longer and fell on me. Her head fell on my shoulder and soft purrs escaped her lips.
She looked at peace which isn't the most normal for her. She usually keeps up a hard front. It's relieving to see her with her guard let down. She mumbled something but I was too lost in thought to hear her. As the light from the sun faded the midnight blue consumed the sky. I looked at my phone to check the time and it was getting late, I didn't want to wake her up, but I really had no choice, I nudged her slightly trying not to wake her abruptly.
"Hey. Hey. Catra. Catra, wake up. Hello?"
C: "Hmm?"
"We need to go."
C: "Mhm. Ok."
She slowly got up, holding onto me for support.
She was a bit too wobbly to go home right now, so I asked her if she could stay over.
"Catra, maybe it's better if you stay over at my house tonight, ok?"
C:"Huh?"
A: "Ok, I'm just gonna call your mom."
C: "Nonono. I'll stay over, she'd let me."
A: "Ok, if you say so."
I carried her on my back and made sure she held on. We made our way down the stairs and then down the ladder. We reached the parking lot and I reached into my pocket to grab the keys, pressing the top button. My car lit up and I walked cautiously, trying not to let Catra fall.
I opened the passenger door and slowly dropped her on the seat.
I made sure she was buckled up, cause I can't let it happen. Not again.
I closed the door and made my way to the drivers seat and turned on the engine. This is gonna be one long ride.
