#5 System is abused by host! QAQ

Jude would be lying if he said he wasn't impressed. The room was grand, so grand beyond belief that he actually went twice to the guards in confusion and tried to switch his room. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't able to communicate with them and they thought he was asking for food.

So now he sat on a bed made of sandalwood with cushions covered in dakha muslin, surrounded by exotic food he would never have been able to afford before placed in containers of solid gold and silver. Even the chopsticks, forks and spoons had diamonds inlaid in them.

Noticing the extravagant Jade chandelier hanging overhead, Jude ate his meal with dead fish eyes.

I definitely wrote the description of the palace one day before payday...

He soullessly stared at the toppings of platinum on the food.

Yup, definitely before payday.

As the servants took away the empty plates, Wang Yu entered the room in his usual imposing manner that was in complete contrast to his pretty face. Jude jumped in fright.

It took Jude a while to calm down from his scare.

Wang Yu, on the other hand, watched his guest's initially cheerful eating face turn pale with a forced smile plastered on top. He felt amused at the sight but made no comment on it outwardly.

The op-emperor carefully spoke in heavily mangled English, "Yhou... world... diffarent?"

Jude who was arguing with his system froze. W...was that ... English!?

Wang Yu's brows furrowed at the other's reaction. Did his words not make sense? Or did he use the wrong words to say it? It wouldn't do to ask because it seemed that the guest was unable to vocalise sounds.

The two were stuck in a stalemate for a long time. Finally, Wang Yu asked a servant to bring him a brush and paper and began writing down some sentences in the standard tongue of Seokwang. He glanced at Jude while writing and seeing that his guest was carefully reading what was written, felt a strange sense of accomplishment.

After he went through the body's memories carefully he found out that the original Bai XinLi didn't know how to speak the language of the capital not because he didn't feel a need to speak, but because he was originally from the neighbouring empire of the south! The relationship between Wang Yu's territory and the South was anything but amicable.

Meaning that citizens from one country were ruthlessly purged in the other, a vicious cycle of endless enmity!

Meaning that although the original Bai XinLi was a model citizen in the Southern Empire, his place of birth being the Southern Empire itself was enough to get him killed here!
