In the previous chapter:

The team watched as the tiny middle blocker make his way out of the gym. They all let out a sigh. They knew that something was wrong, but they just couldn't accept the fact that someone like their ball of sunshine was suffering so much. They all wondered,

Hinata... just what are you going through?

The day went on as usual for the little crow. He was once again not looking forward to go home. Who knew what that man was going to do to him this time. The boy started to get used to it though, soon, It became a normal thing for him.

Time passed and the day was soon coming to an end. Hinata said his goodbyes and headed home. He was consumed by his own thoughts as he walked and soon found himself in front of his "home". He let out a sigh. Bracing himself for the abuse, he opened the door and the familiar stench of alcohol hit him almost immediately.

He shivered as he made eye contact with his father. All he could do was pray and hope that everything
would pass quickly.

Time flew and 17 days passed by quickly. During those days, everything went on as per normal. The abuse never stopped for the little tangerine. The team was still clueless about the abuse. However, there were a few of them who had their suspicions and theories. Those few being kageyama, suga, daichi, tsukishima and surprisingly even nishinoya. However, they remained silent, they just knew it wasn't the right time to ask about his struggles.

no one's POV

It was after-school Volleyball practice. The team was currently doing receiving practice, when takeda-sensei asked for everyone to gather.

"Guys, I hope you remember that tomorrow is the Tokyo training camp. I mean of course you all do, but Hinata, I haven't gotten the permission slip from you. I'll need it by tomorrow morning or else you wouldn't be able to go." Hinata froze. He completely forgot about the training camp. How could he forget about something so important.

"A-ah okay sorry. I'll pass the slip to you tomorrow." Hinata stuttered out. The team could only stare in bewilderment. They expected him to be the first person to give the permission slip due to his excitement, but it was the opposite instead.

"Okay, I'd appreciate that. Anyways, I'll give all of you a checklist so you'll know what to pack for the camp. I need all of you to assemble at the front of the gate by 6am. It'll be a long ride so we need to leave early. All the other important instructions and information will be sent by Daichi in your group chat as soon as practice is over. Any questions?" When all he got was silence as a reply, he gave a small smile and dismissed the team, saying that they could end practice early so that they could have enough time to pack and rest.

As usual, some of them chose to stay back and practise, while some prepared to go home. Hinata quickly packed up and for the first time, left without a word. The team watched in shock as the middle blocker walk out of the gym. It may not have been a big deal, but it showed the team that there was something very wrong. No matter how rushed Hinata was, he never forgets to say goodbye to his teammates. The team could only stare in worry at the door hinata just stepped out of.

hinata's POV

I was terrified. I completely forgot about the training camp. I knew that father would get mad if I asked if wether I could go. However, knowing him, he'd likely allow me to go, just to get rid of me for a while.
