The crying was quieter now, just tearful-sounding sniffling. It sounded like the kid had calmed down a little. Morro smiled in relief. Finally, he'd managed to do something good.

Echo was still cautious, but the voice he assumed belonged to the dark haired teen from the portal was kind and gentle. He had quieted his crying, but he wasn't about to stop hiding.
He was holding Gizmo close, for the little bot was trying to escape.
"What are you doing? He might be dangerous, Gizmo!" Echo whispered.
Gizmo beeped angrily on response. Echo understood that Gizmo wanted to fight the boy from the portal , but he didn't seem too threatening yet.
"Shhh, if he is a threat, you must be quiet!" Echo hissed quietly.
Gizmo immediately silenced himself, still completely ready to fight the mysterious teen.
Echo relaxed a bit, still wary of the stranger. All his tears were dried now. He felt a lot calmer now. He didn't move, but the stranger seemed less dangerous now that Echo wasn't in a panic.

Morro had been on the main floor for a few hours. He'd obviously asked the kid if they were hurt, thankfully they were fine. After that, he'd left. He did wonder why there was a kid living here all alone, but he could probably handle it. Thinking of the kid, they were probably asleep by now.
He searched for a blanket, for the kid. They didn't come upstairs to go to bed, so he assumed they had fallen asleep while hiding.
"Aha." He said. He'd found a fuzzy, plaid blanket. "This'll work."
He made his way back downstairs to give the kid the blanket. There were a lot of places to hide. This might take a while. He peeked behind several bookcases cautiously, blanket bundled in his arms. Finally, he found them.
The kid was a nindroid, like Zane. But Zane wasn't short, rusty, or in a lighthouse. The Zane-child was clinging to a little bot. It looked bucket shaped, sort of. He tucked the blanket around them both. The Zane-child stirred, but ultimately continued sleeping. Morro headed back up, but then he looked back.
"Goodnight, kiddo." He whispered. Then he continued back up to the main floor, and curled up.

When Echo woke up, there was a blanket over him and Gizmo. He rolled over, confused.
"Gizmo, did you get us a blanket after I fell asleep?" He asked.
Gizmo shook his head, and beeped out "No, maybe it was the stranger?"
"Maybe, he did seem nice enough." Echo replied.
He stood, and picked up the blanket. They should probably go thank the stranger, and introduce themselves.
Gizmo rolled along nest to him, less suspicious of the teen now. Echo had to lift Gizmo up the stairs, but it wasn't hard. They looked around for him.
"Hello? I do not believe we got your name, sir." Echo called out to the mysterious boy from the portal. He almost didn't expect a response, somehow.
"I'm Morro. Who are you, and why are you all alone here?" Asked the dark haired teen. Morro.
Echo blinked, slightly surprised, and replied, "My name is Echo, built to protect those who cannot protect themselves. And I am not alone, I have Gizmo."
Morro poked his head out of a wall.
"Who's that?" He asked, his body still in the wall.
Gizmo beeped indignantly, completely ignoring the fact that Morro was inside the wall!
"I, uh- It's h-him." Echo pointed to his friend. He was very concerned about Morro being in the wall.
"Hey, are you good, Echo? You look kinda scared." Realization crossed his face. "Oh, yeah, I'm ah, I'm a ghost. This is just something I can do."
"Does this mean you... Died?" Echo asked. He fidgeted slightly. How graphic was Morro's death?
The ghost smiled grimly. "Twice." He stated.
"Oh." There was a tense silence. "Thank you for the blanket, I did not plan on falling asleep downstairs."
"It's no problem, and I thought you might've been alone for a while. By the way, how did you two get here?" Asked Morro.
"We were built here, by my father. His name is Dr. Julien. He left a while ago, and we are not sure why. He left nothing that told us anything." Echo looked at the floor, lip trembling. His chest heaved, and his vision blurred.
There was a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, kid, it's gonna be okay. We can get out if this soon, I'll find a way for you two."
".... Promise?"
"I promise." He hugged both Echo and Gizmo close, the blanket wrapped around all three of them.
[Asks open! The reason this exists: I have half a braincell, I'm a sucker for found family, and I want Morro, Echo and Gizmo back SO! Y'all's get this! :D]
