We arrived at what looked like a thousand year old abandoned house.

"It used to be so beautiful," my mom mumbled under her breathe.

It was two story, it had hundreds of windows, I can see how it used to be pretty, but now it was just scary. We all grabbed our bags and went inside.

"We'll clean it up tomorrow, I brought two blow up mattresses," My mom said, "Jaime sleep with me."

"Okay," he managed.

We blew up the mattresses and set them both in the huge, dusty living room.

We were on opposite sides of the room, but my mom could still monitor what me and Andrew where doing, but she trusted me.

I put my head on his chest and held him tight. "I love you Andrew," but he was already asleep and I knew it.

The next morning, the bright light leaked through the huge windows. Andrew wasn't in the bed. I looked up and saw Andrew and Jaime playing outside. My mom was cooking.

"Morning sleeping beauty," she laughed as she flipped a tortilla.

"You brought food," I mumbled.

"No I just went grocery shopping," she said.

"How long was I asleep?"

"Well it is 12:30 already."

"Holy crap." I brushed my hair and walked outside to the boys.

"Look it's the big scary monster!" Jaime screamed and he started running.

We all ran around for about an our and then we went inside to help set up the house.

"I ordered some furniture, it'll be here in a couple days, but for now it's the old furniture and blow up beds."

"We should look through the old furniture," I said.

"Maybe we can have a yard sale with it!" Jaime said.

Jaime, Andrew and I looked through the house. One room was filled with antiques.

Jaime pulled out a box filled with antique toys, "look Kara!"

"Woah," I pulled out an old airplane, "do you wanna keep this Jaime?"

Jaime grabbed it and nodded his head.

The next morning we had the yard sale. We raised more than $8,900 on half of the antiques from that house. Apparently some of the things were worth more than $1,000 each, and people actually paid that much. I guessed it was a rich neighborhood.

When I went inside my mom was on the phone, she looked up, "Honey, your father is coming tomorrow tell Jaime."

"I don't wanna see him!"

"Honey, he's your father!"

"Well I'm not seeing that cheating..." Jaime walked in.

"Dad's coming?"

"Yes honey."

"Tell him not to waste his time coming up here."

My mom put down the phone and tried to walk towards Jaime. He turned his head and walked away. I followed him.

"Jaime, he's still our father."

"You said he's a cheater."

"but..."

"He's a lying, hypocrite."

My mouth dropped in awe, he got real mature real fast.

"Let's go to bed Jaime." I said softly.
