It was the night before the first day of school and here I stood, in the window of my bedroom watching scores of police cars driving past my home, heading towards the direction of the woods. So far I had counted eight and more were still driving past, breaking lord knows how my speeding rules, but when you make the rules, I guess your entitled to break them.

"That can't be good," a voice said making me look back, it was my Aunt Marcy standing by my door, with a solemn look on her face,

"Eight plus police cars, speeding off into the end of night, of course it isn't good," I said as I look back to watch the last of cars past by, "...make that twelve actually,"

"Okay no more," Aunt Marcy said as she walked over and closed the curtains, she turned to face me with a new wave of energy and a bright smile, "are you ready for school tomorrow...?"

"Ummm how about no," I groaned as I walked over and dropped onto my bed,

"What!? Come on Leo, it's the started of the second semester, you and Lydia are in almost every class, and it's lacrosse season too!" my Aunt Marcy said trying to be optimistic,

"Yea that last one has nothing to do with me so..."I said to her as I stared at the high ceiling of my bedroom,

"Leo, your father, my baby brother, was the captain of the lacrosse team for his entirety at Beacon Hills, besides from the Hale family, may they rest in peace, you are a legacy," she told me, I felt the bed dip but I didn't have to look to see she was looking at me,

"Yea I know, but I just don't wanna join the lacrosse team, okay?" I said rolling over to back her,

"Why? Does this have something to do with you dropping out of the swim team, as well?" She questioned and I could get the curiosity in her voice,

"No!" I snapped, quickly I got off my bed and walked towards my closet to find something good to wear for tomorrow,

"I'll take that as a yes, and from what I remember...the only things those teams have in common...is that Whittemore boy," she said more to herself than me, but the mention of his name alone made the colour drain from my face, "did something happen between you and Jackson?"

My eyes twisted as the thought of him made my blood boil. I took a deep breathe trying to calm myself, but that failed when I felt the wood from my closet door started to break from grip alone. I trapped a Jeans jacket, a blue tee shirt with faded words, a pair of jeans and some sneakers, before I closed the door and prayed she didn't see what I did.

"Nothing happened and it's late, I need at least seven hours of sleep or I'll get dark marks under my eyes which will lead to Lydia talking off my ears about ruining my perfect face...so goodnight," I said as I spun around to face her with a smile, I walked over to my bed and crawled under the sheets before looking at her with innocent eyes,
