Crystal woke up laying on the ground. She wasn't in her room of blue walls and movie posters, but instead a sky or light brown and orange greeted her. She slowly pushed herself off the ground and got a better look of her surroundings. In front of her stood a labyrinth that stretched for miles towards what looked like a castle. Forwards, backwards, sideways, the maze stretched around the building, not showing any sign of an ending.

Crystal look a step backwards. She was confused. She didn't remember arriving here, and it didn't feel like a dream. It felt real. Crystal bumped into someone and quickly turned around on her heel. There was a tall man, dressed in pants that were too tight, and a leather jacket with a flared collar behind his neck. His hair was a blonde, and a smirk rested on his lips.

"Oh, hello Crystal, it is so nice to finally be able to speak to you" The man spoke, looking past her, towards the labyrinth.

Crystal went to speak, but nothing came from her lips. She moved a hand to her throat, confused once again.

"No use to speak, you're in my dreams, I can speak to you, but you cannot speak to me." the man smiled down at her, and walked past Crystal. He looked over at the labyrinth before turning back at Crystal. "I am the owl you see around, but this is me in the underground." Jareth began to move his hand around an orb, as if it floated in air. Crystal looked at it, unsure what he was doing. "If you take this, you can summon me into your world, with the correct words."

Crystal slowly moved her hand out, touching her hand against the orb in Jareth's hand. Once her hand touched the glass, she quickly woke up. The girl sat up in her bed in a cold sweat, looking around to make sure this was not another dream. She slowly stood up out of her bed, and looked down at her hand. "but it was a dream." she whispered, the item in her hand proving her wrong. Crystal glanced over to the window to see the white and beige owl who she had seen countless times before.

She put the glass ball onto her pillow and moved over to the window. "So youre the one in my dreams." Crystal knew she wished for the owl to turn human wasnt just a dream anymore it was now reality.

Crystal moved her hands to the window, pushing it up and opening it. The owl turned its head to look at her and flapped its wings slightly. It jumped from the tree branch to the window sill, watching Crystal. The girl slowly held her hand out for the owl, who moved closer to the hand. The owl jumped onto her hand, and flew into her bedroom. It perched on her nightstand, near the orb.

Crystal moved over to the bed and picked up the object before her eyes laid on the owl. "How do I make you human?" she whispered to herself. The owl perched up and turned to her. Is flapped its left sing, signaling to her left hand. "What words do I say?" Crystal watched the bird, and then looked back down. Goblin king goblin king, where ever you may be, I summon you to me. Ran through her head. She quickly stood up to a knock at her door, and picked up the owl, moving it back outside.

"Crystal, are you awake?" A voice was heard from the outside of her door. Crystal moved the orb to under her pillow, and walked over to the door.

"Good morning Mother." Crystal smiled at her mother, and kept her door shut slightly.

"Is someone in here? I heard you talking to someone as I passed." Sarah looked at Crystal, slightly confused.

Crystal shook her head. "Im alone, just reminding myself of something." Crystal turned back to look at her bed. "Ill be down in a bit." Sarah nodded and left Crystal's door to head down stairs. Crystal turned to a clock to see it was already noon. She walked over to close her window, watching the owl before closing it. She closed the curtains to her room and changed into clean clothing. She went into the bathroom and did her morning things before heading back into her bedroom. Crystal looked down at her phone to see a message from Henry.

Alright! I cant wait. :)

Crystal was excited to see her lover. The owl and dream completely slipped her mind as she waited for Henry. 3 O'clock came and passed. He came around 4 O'clock instead. Crystal was slightly upset, but nothing that would cause too much trouble.

"Sorry I'm late," Henry walked her to his car, rubbing the back of his neck lightly. "Family got in the way again."

"Don't worry, I get it. Life gets in the ways sometimes." she got in the car, and smiled as they headed to the area of their date.

Crystal ran into the house, a complete mess. She ran past Sarah and went to her own room, locking the door behind her. Crystal fell onto her knees, her heart had just been ripped out. She had found out that Henry had been cheating on her with her best friend Willow, and she left imminently. A soft knocking sound came from her window, and she forced herself to look up. The owl. Jareth? that was him, right? But why was he here. She had never seen the owl at night outside of her dreams.

Crystal slowly stood up and walked over to her pillow, grabbing the crystal. She took a deep breath and took a step back. She began to speak without thought. "Goblin king goblin king, where ever you may be, I summon you to me." she closed her eyes because a sudden burst of wind entered her room. She held her arm up to her eyes, and heard the window move open. She moved her arm down and dropped the orb from her hand at the sight in front of her.

Only a few feet before her stood Jareth. The curtains were blowing behind him, and a soft smile on his face. "There is no use to cry my dear Crystal. You can wish all your problems away." Jareth crossed his arms and looked down at Crystal.

"N-no, I can't" she fell to her knees, and continued sobbing. Jareth crouched down and picked up the orb.

"Wish them away, and have your dreams." He held it out in his hands, offering it to her again. "With the correct words, you can with anyone away. Henry, Willow, even your own mother." Jareth grinned, using his other hand to mover Crystal's face up slightly.

Crystal took a deep breath, and without thinking, she spoke again. "I wish them away. I wish the goblin king would take them away." she moved her hand up to the glass and took it into hers.

"It will be done." Jareth stood back up, and used magic to put her inside of her longed for dream.
