After fighting a war, if Merlin revealed his magic to Arthur then he would be cross with Merlin because he could have done something more to help. He also could have summoned a dragon, which would have been very helpful during the fight.
But of course, Merlin must keep his magic hidden from Uther... Oh wait... He's dead! And his spirit already knows!
He also must not use him magic in front of evil Morgana. Why? Because she might "tell Arthur probably"
