After staring at it for a long time, nilagpasan ko siya. I heard him let out a small laugh, anong nakakatawa?
I saw the beauty of Intramuros nang malapitan ito lalo. Ang klase ko ngayong araw ay pagkatapos ng tanghali, and it was just 3 subjects. Hapon ng sinundo ako, ngayon magdidilim na, the lights were lit up.
It's so beautiful to see.
Nang makapasok kami, I stopped and stared at everything. Pinauna ko din siya maglakad. He was walking pero pinagmamasdan ko pa rin ang nakikita, namamangha sa ganda. Natauhan ako ng medyo nakalayo na si Ade.
We're now in this walkway with trees planted. Umiilaw ito dahil sa mga bumbilya na nakasabit. It is yellow toned and it looked beautiful. Under the trees, small flowers are planted. Across the trees are the street lamps.
Sa mangha ay hindi ko na nakausap ang kasama ko. I continued walking, appreciating what I'm seeing.
Just seeing this view, I guess I'm feeling light now, thanks to Samuele he brought me here even I didn't asked to. Nanatili lang siya sa likod ko at sumusunod kung saan ako pumunta.
I heard a click of a camera as my eyes filled with amusement because of the light that I'm watching. Galing yun sa likuran ko. There were no other people near us kaya malamang ay kay Ade siguro ang tunog na yun. I looked back at naabutan kong ibubulsa na niya ang telepono.
"Sayo yun?" I asked even it's obvious already, Leizel. Did he took a picture of me? Or not. Assuming lang ako?
He only shrugged and walked pass by me. "I captured the lights, Leizel, not you." Ani niya.
I was shocked with what he said. Napatawa ako. Okay? But I didn't even asked that yet?
"Duh? I didn't even asked?" Sambit ko pero hindi sigurado kung narinig nya ko dahil bahagya siyang tumakbo papunta sa isang bench and he sat down.
I wore a confused faced when he did that. Walang kung ano ay sumunod na lang sa kanya.
"Why did you bring me here?" I asked as soon as I got seated.
He laid his ankle on top of his other knee and rested his arms on the backrest of the bench.
He chuckled and looked at me. "So now you're talking?" Asar niya.
Umirap ako.
"I just wanted to think in a peaceful place and I thought I can bring you with me." Ani niya matapos ang tanong. Think of what kind of things? May problema ba uli sila ni Tita Michelle o ibang problema?
"Is this your favorite place?" I suddenly asked.
He nodded. "How many girls you brought here already?" I asked sarcastically, unless it's true that he bring his girls here.
"Wala, Leizel. And I don't have 'girls'." He answered straight.
"How come this is your favorite place then?"
"My family used to go here every bonding day." He said and smiled at me. That smile carried pain. Pain that he doesn't want to remember. Yeah, I remembered. His family is broken. His relationship with his Mom isn't stable and his Dad chose to stay with his other family.
"May problema ba?"
He chuckled before answering and looked away. "Nothing." He wore the painful smile again.
