Chapter 29: The Midnight Stroll

Octavia's POV

We were walking down the streets of the square, his arms were behind his head while he walked. How was he so confident right now not so recently, I had proclaimed my love for him, how was he so cool right now?

"So how are you feeling?" he asked me, I was caught by surprise

"I feel confused about everything that's happening" I told him not including about how I'm confused on where we stand.

"yeah makes sense" he agreed we were still walking

"So who gave you that scar?" he asked, my hand went to my right tentacle where the green cross scar was.

"I'm not sure I think that Octavio passed it down" I told him I assumed that we were at least on neutral ground and that he wouldn't try to kill me again. Aio stopped under a street lamp

"So. You're in love with me?" he asked not facing me I panicked I wanted to flee but than he looked back at me concern in his eyes I stopped, I sighed inwardly I had to clear the air between us

"yeah and I've been in love with you ever since you saved me from the blender" I admitted I was probably blushing like crazy.

"than I need to tell you something about me" he said he turned around completely and dropped his arms back to his sides

"when we were fighting in the elevator I was practically dead or at least inside because Tartar had almost completely got rid of me taking full control. But then I felt something. It was small but it allowed me to overcome his control for a moment. He took back control afterwards but it gave me the strength to distract Tartar long enough for you to free me. That feeling was you kissing me, and that was when...I fell in love with you!" he admitted.

he had said the last few words quickly like he was trying to force them out. My face was probably the same color as my hair he walked closer to me he started to look uncertain than I saw him steel his resolve

"So thank you for saving me now let me return the favor" he said then without warning he leaned in close and kissed me his lips were so light against mine he pulled away I was mystified by his actions then I was filled with bliss.

He loved me too. I couldn't believe it. He looked at me shyly, he didn't know what to do next.

Aio's POV

I had finally done it. I had told her that I love her and not only that I kissed her too I didn't know what to do next then Octavia decided that for me.

She grabbed my shirt and pulled me closer. I expected her to kiss me just like she did back then either that or yell at me but she whispered in my ear

"What do we do next?" she asked me

"I have no idea" I admitted in fact I didn't know why I chose to kiss her admitting my love was necessary kissing her was a bonus

"well...can we kiss again?" she asked, I nodded just like she did when she didn't want to speak.

She kissed me. We closed our eyes. I embraced her. She pulled away and we looked into each other's eyes

"does...this mean we're...dating?" she asked. I thought for a sec we were still hugging.

"I think so," I said we disengaged but our hands found a way into the other's as we walked back home.

Frozo's POV

I had finished my mission so I went to check on Aio because honestly from my one experience of "almost killing someone because of their father and siding with my inner demon to save them and reconcile (though not in a romantic way)"

But then I saw him coming down the street with Octavia so I hid and they didn't see me of course because I was trained in unseen movement I shadowed them and then they stopped under a streetlamp they were talking about something and then I heard Aio shout He finally admitted and then he kissed her then after a bit Octavia grabbed his shirt and pulled him close I got closer to see what was happening then they kissed each other I've been waiting for this since I learned about his love for her so I took a picture

"good job Aio" I whispered then I left back to my world for a while.
