"who are you?" holly asked as will stepped inside.

she was sitting on the floor, coloring on pieces of paper with crayons.

"i'm will byers. i like your drawings." will complimented.

"you do?" holly asked.

"yeah, they're so nice!" will smiled.

"thank you! do you want to draw with me?" holly asked.

"ugh, holly, nobody wants to draw with you." mike rolled his eyes.

"i would like to draw with holly." will folded his arms.

"but i want to hang out with you." mike whined.

"okay, okay, i have a solution. holly, you can come to the basement with mike and i and draw with me for a few minutes, then mike and i can hang out by ourselves." will explained.

"okay!" holly cheered.

mike crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.

"mike, it's not a big deal." will whispered.

"yeah, whatever." mike grunted.

"come on." will grabbed his arm.

they went down to the basement with holly behind them, picking up pieces of paper and crayons as she followed him.

"what's you're favorite color?" holly asked as they walked down the steps.

will looked around. the basement was pretty big in size. it was probably bigger than will's living room and kitchen combined.

"uh...what was your question?" will sat down.

"what's your favorite color?" holly repeated.

"i don't know. blue is a nice color." will answered.

"i like red." mike sat down next to will.

"i like rainbows." holly scribbled on her drawing.

"rainbows are nice." will said.

"here. draw." holly offered.

she handed will some paper and drawing supplies.

will started drawing something random.

"can i draw?" mike asked.

"you want to draw?" holly exclaimed.

"yeah, why not." mike shrugged.

"okay!" holly smiled and handed her brother some paper and crayons.

as they were drawing, will rested his free hand on the table and mike placed his hand next to will's.

their hands moved closer to each other, until they were intertwined.

holly looked and smirked, then grabbed a new piece of paper and started drawing.

"hey, you're pretty good at drawing." mike complimented.

"oh, thank you." will thanked and smiled.

"i'm done!" holly cheered.

"can we see?" mike asked.

holly held up a cute picture of the two boy's holding hands. it was cute in an adorable toddler kind of way.

once the boys saw the drawing, they immediately pulled their hands away.

"why did you draw that?" mike asked.

"because you guys were holding hands." holly pointed out.

will looked down at the floor and mike bit down on his tongue.

"maybe you guys should kiss." holly mumbled.

will's head snapped up and mike's eyes went wide.

"okay, holly, that's enough. get out." mike pointed at the stairs.

"but—."

"no. get the hell out!" mike yelled.

holly started to cry and ran out of the basement.

"mike, that was a little rude." will folded his arms.

"yeah, well, i'm not queer!" mike snapped.

"excuse you! don't use that word!" will exclaimed.

"sorry, sorry. that word should definitely be off limits." mike sighed and will nodded in agreement.

"it's just that..." mike trailed off.

"just what, mike?" will asked.

"i, uh, i like boys." he muttered.

"oh. well that's okay." will nodded.

"no, but i'm not gay." mike shook his head.

"then i don't understand." will said.

"i like boys, but i like girls too." mike clarified.

"oh! that means your bisexual." will answered.

"that makes sense. what are you?" mike asked.

will cleared his throat, uncomfortably.

"i'm...i'm gay." will whispered.

"oh. cool." mike muttered.

the two boys sat there in silence, not knowing what else to say.
