minji nearly legged it to school the next morning, waking up early to evade her mother and changing, sliding swiftly out the door.

she approached the gates to see her friends all standing outside, leaning against the wall looking like your usual cool kids, when in fact they were probably some of the weirdest out there.

"hey min" baekhyun called, walking up the girl with a cheesy grin and giving her a fist bump.

"how was the match yesterday?" jaebum questioned, playing with a pen between his fingers.

"we won, as per" minji shrugged, and the group migrated towards the school entrance.

"you okay min? you seem pretty out of it" jisung asked, a worried look on his face when he had seen the distant look in his friends eyes.

"yeah, just a little paranoid, thanks sung" she replied, sending him a sweet smile causing the tall boy to blush lightly.

"not a problem" he said, slinging his arm around her shoulders, now causing minji to fluster up.

the group parted in the hallways to go to their respective classes, minji sliding in her seat as usual with the same low level of enthusiasm as always.

"did you hear theres a new boy?" one of the girls in minjis class whispered, albeit not very well.

"yeah apparently hes actually good looking" the other girl gossiped in a hushed voice.

the morning bell rang and their teacher walked in, followed by a tall boy with black hair.

"morning class, meet your new classmate park chanyeol "

"so there really is a new boy" hongjoong said, biting into his baguette as minji was telling them about her new classmate.

"yup, hes so tall like its kind of intimidating" minji laughed nervously, sipping her banana milk.

"come on, he cant be that scary" yuta chuckled, before his laughter slowed. wincing, he turned to minji.

"does he have black hair and a grey bag?" he asked, eyes darting from the tall student to minji as the girl nodded.

"yeah well hes coming this way" yuta hissed, suddenly regretting saying he wasnt intimidating.

"hi, youre park minji right?" chanyeol asked, looking the girl right in the eyes as she looked at jisung before nodding.

"yeah thats me, can i help you?" she tried to be as nice as possible, especially seeing as hes a new student.

"im sorry if im interrupting anything, but i dont really have any friends, and youre the only persons name i know" chanyeol said making minji understand his gist.

"uh yeah you can sit with me and my friends if you want" she offered, scooting closer to the end so he could slide in which proved to be a difficult task due to the sheer length of his legs.

"chanyeol right?" baekhyun asked, looking up from his plate of pasta.

"yep" the boy smiled at him, causing baekhyun to return a smile.

"so where did you transfer from?" yuta sent the boy another smile, just trying to make him feel welcomed.

"uh daegu" he responded, eyes flitting to the side as he saw a student approach the table.

"oh thats cool, why did you transfer?" jaebum asked, eyebrows raised whilst bringing a cup of coke clasped by his heavily ringed hand to his lips.

"oh just because i wanted a change of scenery" the new student shrugged, his shoulders slumping.

"excuse me?" a new voice said, everyones head turning to see a boy.

"hello?" jisung furrowed his brows. this is the 3rd person to come to their table today.

"i just- this is for minji" the boy placed a letter in the girls hands before scurrying away, leaving the girl to hold it awkwardly.

"whos he?" chanyeol asked, also looking slightly confused.

"thats kim yugyeom"
