Eight

"I'll take him inside" Taehyung said as Jimin helped a very drunk Jeongguk sling his arm around Taehyung and to keep him on his feet.

Namjoon was already dozing off in his seat and Jimin was struggling to keep himself on his feet. Hoseok didn't seem drunk, as he was the one driving.

Taehyung was...pleasantly tipsy.

Jimin hummed and got back inside the car, leaving Taehyung and Jimin in front of Jeongguk's dorm room. Hoseok waved the both of them goodbye and then, they were driving off.

Taehyung sighed as he wrapped his arm around Jeongguk and started dragging him towards his room. When they reached the door, Taehyung fished the keys out of Jeongguk's pocket, which was really difficult as the younger was wearing tight jeans and he had to keep Jeongguk on his feet while he did it.

With much effort, Taehyung laid his best friend on his bed. Jeongguk groaned as his back hit the bed.

Taehyung sat himself beside Jeongguk and took a deep breath. He was not only exhausted but also sleepy.

He watched Jeongguk groan and mutter in his sleep and despite all the exhaust trying to make Taehyung shut himself down right then and there, a smile crept into his face. Jeongguk looked adorable.

Numerous times had he brought Jeongguk to his room after being drunk. Numerous times had Taehyung spent the night in Jeongguk's room and woken up beside him. Each time there was nothing to think about before passing our beside Jeongguk.  Nothing was awkward when they woke up beside each other.

Taehyung didn't know that he had feelings for his hest friend back then. He thought he was just confused. Even after admitting to himself the truth that he's crushing on his best friend, times like these weren't awkward at all. Because they treated each other the same way they did since forever.

Buy now things were different.

Taehyung's feelings were out  in the open. And Jeongguk is aware of them too. He's finally allowed to feel this way about his best friend. Taehyung felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders when he found out Jeongguk returned his feelings.

It was finally okay to feel all these unnecessary and unholy feelings about his best friend.

Taehyung wiped off a lock of raven hair out of Jeongguk's face. The smaller boy scrunched his nose in response, still knocked out from sleep. Taehyung cooed at the sight.

He got up from the bed and took off Jeongguk's shoes and socks before
placing Jeongguk's legs, which were dangling,  on the bed. He then sat next to Jeongguk and watched the boy indulged in his dreamland.

A smile stretched Taehyung's lips apart as he watched him sleep. Numerous times had he done this, laying beside Jeongguk throughout the years. It used to feel so forbidden.

He couldn't help it. The boy was too gorgeous and adorable even in his sleep. Taehyung brushed the pad of his thumb over Jeongguk's cheek ever so lightly,  careful to not wake up the sleeping boy. Jeongguk was so, so soft. So, so perfect.

Taehyung took a deep breath and leaned down. His face lingered centimetres away from Jeongguk's face, so close that he could feel Jeongguk's soft breaths on his own cheek. Taehyung's lips met Jeongguk's cheek. They lingered there for a couple of seconds before he drew himself away. Taehyung was glad to see that the other boy was still asleep.

He couldn't stay ths night at Jeongguk's. No matter how exhausted he was. He stood up after looking at Jeongguk one last time that night and started to make his way towards the door.

But Taehyung was stopped by a feathery soft touch on his wrist. Taehyung averted his gaze to his wrist only to see Jeongguk holding it with his small hand.

Jeongguk was sleepily looking up at Taehyung, a pout adorning his thin cherry lips.

"Taehyungie" Jeongguk whined. "Don't go"

Taehyung seated himself next to Jeongguk. His grip on Taehyung's wrist never faltered. "I'm just going to my dorm, Gguk"

"Don't leave me" Jeongguk said sleepily. "Stay for tonight"

"But Jeongguk-"

"Come on" the younger whined.

Taehyung sighed, giving up. "Fine"

Jeongguk grinned sleepily. Taehyung took off his own shoes and smiled at Jeongguk. The other boy rolled over, giving Taehyung space to lay down and made grabby hands at Taehyung.

Taehyung grinned and snuggled close to Jeongguk who wrapped his arms around Taehyung. They held each other close, staring into each other's eyes and smiling.

Taehyung's heart was erupting with happiness. He wondered if he'd ever felt this happy before. Nothing is better than being able to look into Jeongguk's eyes with all the love he had for him without worrying whether he would find out that Taehyung's crushing on him.

So Taehyung stared into those pitch black void of stars and galaxies swirling with emotions. Taehyung felt like falling in love all over again.

How was he so lucky to have his life-long crush like him back?

No offence but no girl is ever as attractive as Jeongguk Jeon. Like have you seen those thighs? That waist? That fucking face? Out of this world bruh.

Taehyung placed a soft kiss on top of Jeongguk's nose making Jeongguk burst into a fit of giggles. Taehyung could only grin and coo at the younger's adorable acts.

"Let's sleep baby" Taehyung said, his voice raspy.

Jeongguk's blush visibly darkened. Taehyung smirked upon seeing that. He made a mental note to himself that he should call Jeongguk baby more often.

"Okay" Jeongguk whispered as he tightened his embrace around Taehyung's torso. He buried his head between Taehyung's neck and chest and closed his eyes, exhaling deeply.

Taehyung inhaled Jeongguk's sweet smell of vanilla and cologne. He always smelled so refreshing, homely, beautiful.

Taehyung let his own eyes flutter close, snuggled in Jeongguk's warmth. Unarguably it was the first time they cuddled. It was the first time Taehyung  cuddled anyone. And Taehyung absolutely loved cuddling Jeongguk.

Soon tentacles of sleep wrapped around the two boys in love.

Taehyung only hoped to God that he wouldn't wake up with morning wood the following morning.
