"Estelle." may babalang sabi ni Papa.
"Idlip po ko. I love you."
Natatakot lang akong hindi kayo ayon sa gusto ko.
"Eche? Eche."
Naalimpungatan ako sa kalabit ni Dad.
"Andito na tayo. Bangon na." He kissed my forehead before closing the door. So I gathered my phone, airpods, and powerbank na nagkalat sa upuan and shoved everything in my bag and went out.
"Oh shit."
I was a few steps away from the front door when I felt shivers on my nape that reminded me of wearing a jacket just this morning so I went back to the car.
Isasara ko na sana iyong pinto after kong isabit ang denim jacket sa forearm ko nang may mahagip ang mata ko sa gate.
I was staring at the Golden Retriever sitted just outside the open gate as I closed the door. Noong tinagilid niya ang ulo niya ay ginaya ko rin. Napatawa ako sa kagaguhan ko and it seems like the dog undestood since nilabas niya ang dila niya that made him look like he was smiling.
I always wanted to own one but then my Mom doesn't like the idea of having a pet in our home.
Humakbang ako palapit ngunit nagtatakbo na palayo ang aso. Natanaw kong papalapit siya sa nakatalikod na lalaki.
I saw how his plain gray sweater got a bit crumpled when he pushed the end of his sleeves towards his elbow and knelt down to pat the dog's head. The dog seems calm so I decided to go inside after I close the gate.
I saw my Mom talking to some of my relatives invited for some sort of welcome party for us so I tried to walk towards the stairs silently.
"Estelle!" patiling sabi ni Tita.
Nakatalikod ako sa kanila so I had the chance na umirap bago sila harapin ng may pekeng ngiti.
