Chapter 11

As the Lotriare household came into Ren's vision, he already found Aria's carriage there

'It seems she's eager to visit him'

-Meanwhile in Shin's Room

After Shin was forced to rest, he wasn't able to see Ren for 2 days. Although he could go out, there wasn't much to do around here. In the end he just stayed in his room and read a book. As he was about to flip a page, a knock came from the door. An old servant's voice could be heard.

"Young master, Miss Aria here has come to visit you"

Shin's boredom immediately dissipated as he hurried towards the door to open it.

"Aria? Why are you here?"
Although he was glad to see her, he didn't expect her to visit him.

She just smiled and replied
"Your servant said you were a little gloomy since you couldn't go to school, so I decided to visit. Didn't he tell you?"

*Ren forgot

"Are you talking about Ren?"

"Ah yes, the one who went to school with you"

They chatted for a while when another knock was heard.

"Young master, I brought some tea and dessert, may I come in?" The servant asked

"Yes, come in" Shin replied

Ren walked inside and also greeted Aria while putting the tea and desserts down on the table before bowing.

Shin glanced at him but said nothing more.

Just then Ren remembered he had to set up a date.

'Being a Matchmaker is no joke' he thought

"Ah, Miss Aria, there seems to be a new cafe that's going to open this weekend" Ren said while glancing at Shin

Shin stared back, with a questioning gaze
' What's he planning? Don't tell me he likes...!'

Shin's eyes darkened

"I heard that many people are planning to go, why don't Miss Aria and Young master go as well?" Ren quickly added noticing Shin's murderous gaze

'Shin, let's get this straight ok? I.am.the.matchmaker I certainly do NOT want to date anyone from your harem just so we're clear so pls don't look at me like you want to kill me'

Once it felt like Shin didn't want to kill Ren, Aria agreed and asked if Shin wanted to go

"Well, if you want to go, then I'll go"

"Great! Then it's settled. We'll meet on our usual time so we can shop before the cafe opens"

Ren couldn't help but genuinely smile

'ah... It actually worked, good job me!'

Ren noticed he was smiling and quickly put on his usual polker face

'ahh that was too out of character'

Ren quickly excused himself since he finished the job

What he didn't know was that Shin saw it

'So that's how he smiles... Then why does he act aloof all the time? He wasn't like that when he tried to save me as well...'

Shin was lost in thought

"Shin, did you get all that?" Aria said frowning

That's when he snapped out of it

"Yup, got it. See you tomorrow at school?"

"Sure, ah I have to go now. Bye!"

After Aria went away, he was once again alone.

'I might as well go out for a stroll'

- In Ren's room

"hehe... I did it!"
(Talking to himself again)

"Oh yeah, I'm probably gonna get my weekly pay so maybe I should go to a bookstore when I have time..."

'I really need to know how to increase my mana... It's dangerous if I pass out again'

"Ahh but the next scene's gonna come! Should I tail them to the cafe...?"

'Too many problems!'

*Honestly if someone saw Ren like this, they'd seriously think he's crazy

On the day of Shin's date, as the main character, trouble will obviously follow. This is when the third female for the harem appears. I don't really remember her name but she's supposed to be from another school and an archer at that. Too bad she's a tsundere. Shin got more beat up by her than by the villains! The nerve!

But this is an alternate universe, so Shin probably won't tolerate it. The real problem is the next scene. A building near the cafe explode will explode and 2 crazed state guys appeared, and took the tsundere as hostage (she can die for all I care though)

As the main character, he has the responsibility to be heroic so he and Aria will probably go.

For some reason, the enemies here are way stronger than from how the novel explained it to be so I really need to start learning on how to help in the sidelines without standing out.

.... Sigh I'm going to bed early today
