Nora's Sunburnt

Nora goes to a pool party, but comes back really sunburnt. Based off a true story.

Nora was at a pool party with her classmates and friends having a lot of fun. She would play categories, chicken fights, everything. She would chill by the deep end with some of her friends, and they would drown her. (Yes, my friends drowned me, I almost blacked out).

What Nora didn't know, is that her dad kept calling her and checking up on her, but she was having fun to even go and check her phone. Barry was tempted just to speed there and make sure she was ok. Iris assured him that Nora was having a good time and is probably in the pool.

Nora was splashing her friends and laughing. When she got really hungry. She got out of the pool and went up to the bench and got some cupcakes, she decided to check her phone and she sees many texts and missed calls from her dad. She texted him back saying she's fine and having fun.

She jumped back in the pool and was watching her friends flip into the pool and she was laughing and having a good time. Hours passed by and it was 5:00, the time Nora was supposed to be picked up. Barry was sitting in his car texting Nora, (I know he doesn't have a car, but let's pretend he does).

Nora got out of the pool with her friend Lia and she checked her phone to see that her dad was here. She told Lia to come on since they were carpooling. They went to the car to see Barry sitting in the front seat. The girls got in the back seat and they were all talking and laughing. Barry dropped Lia off at her house and Nora moved to the front seat with her dad.

"How was the party?" "It was fun. Even more fun than I thought it was going to be." "That's good. I'm glad you had fun."

It was a comfortable silence in the car until they got home. When they got inside the house, Nora immediately went into the bathroom to take a shower. And when the hot water hit her skin, she screamed in pain. Barry knocked on the door and asked if she was alright. She responded with a yes and that she has sunburn.

Nora got out of the shower and saw how red her skin was. She groaned and dried off and got dressed. She put on deodorant and lotion, but when the lotion hit her skin, she moaned. It felt so good on her skin. She brushed her hair and went out of the bathroom. When she got into the kitchen, she got some aftersun stuff and put it on her face and she smiled with pleasure.

She went into her room and laid down. She watched videos for a little bit but she took a nap. Barry came in to check on her and found her asleep. He smiled and gently kissed the top of her head. He walked to the living room and talked to Iris.

"What's she doing?" "She's sleeping. She's sunburnt really bad." "Did she put on sunscreen?" "I don't know, she never told me."

They talked for a little bit, til they see Nora exit her room in a lot of pain. They see her go into the kitchen, grab a towel, run it under the sink, and put it on her face. She took it off for a second and walked to the living room. She plopped on the couch and put it back on her face. The couple chuckled at their daughter and she took the towel off and glared at them.

"This hurts. How long will it be like this?" Nora asked. "For a couple days hon." Iris said. Nora groaned and put the towel back on her face. Barry got up and moved to where Nora was and put her head in his lap. He stroked her hair and she sighed contently. Barry chuckled at her. Iris smiled at her loving husband and how good he was with Nora.

Nora will have a couple days, but she has loving parents willing to do anything to help take care of their #1 child.
