"Well, I guess I could explain a few things in the silence, as to not waste time." The man before you mostly mumbles to himself. Finally! "Uhm, this is my realm, The Nether. There are three in all. The Over World, which would be much more familiar to you, and The End, which I guess you could compare to space, but with floating ships and vicious dragons." You listen intently, wondering why this all sounds so familiar. "I need a hacker because while I do have access to the code and the internet, I am not able to access it from the third dimension. -Now don't ask what thst is!" He waves off what you were just about to ask. "I can only access that he code from a second dimension, what you could also call accessing is in a physical sense. I can't literally write my own formulas and such, because, uh, I was created to be prohibited from such power." Created?! "With these limitations, I can't do the things hackers like you and my recent foe can. Therefore, I need your help hacking into my foe's defenses, bringing him down to my level so I can finish him off myself. Simple." He states, as the two of you cross over a long bridge which spans the dark grey beach, more of those ghost-like monsters flying overhead. You nod even though he isn't looking at you. But you still have so many questions! Like, who is this guy?! Where is all this taking place? Is this a whole different universe?! What exactly are you going to need to do? What kind of programming language does this universe work in? Is this all really just inside a computer?- Wait, in a computer, weird creatures, three suspicious realms, hackers, potential AI.- Is this.. Minecraft? That game you used to play when you were ten? Surely not!.. But is it?..
"Um," You begin to ask, already seeing the man stiffen a little. "Is this, is this, Minecraft?.. The, um, videogame?..." The man turns to look at you over his left shoulder. You knew that mole was on his left side!
"Yes. You could say. Many people do refer to this place as a videogame." He says, somehow, softer. Finally! Wait.. sad?..maybe. Knowing how much he doesn't like questions already, you follow him silently. By the theme the conversation fully ends you two are already nearing the end of the dark red bridge.
Finally you two enter the dark structure, a hollow feeling sweeping over you the moment you enter through the two large dark doors. You flip up your hood, finding it fitting with the sight of the new human-esk creatures which roam by. You would prefer be known as anonymous here, even if you aren't going to be staying long.
"How long do you think I will be here?" You ask, darkening your tone to better fit with the mood. The man doesn't seem to take notice.
"However long it takes you to do as you are told." He answers simply, turning a corner right after. Once you turn it, you see it reaches a dead-end, leading into a large set of doors. "This is where you will be staying." He walks up to one of the doors and presses it open. "The library." You walk in, mildly astonished.
You are greeted by a well lit room, circular and spiraling all the way up into the heavens... well, not really. Books fill the shelves which line the circular walls, all the way to the dark, bland roof above. Right across from you is a piece of furniture which looks like it should not fit, but somewhat does. A large, king size bed, looks to have been stuffed into the room last second, though it is still done, it's dark red drapes still nicely.. uh, draping, and it's golden laced, dark grey bedding tucked. It is honestly the nicest bed you have ever seen, and in one of the largest libraries you have ever seen too!
"The books will allow you to learn whatever on your own time... I suggest you get familiar with this place, as you will not be allowed to leave until you are done." He says; your eyes widening as you notice he has snuck behind you for the doors. You hear them close soon after, you already sprinting for them.
"W- wait! You can't just lock me up in here! Wh- what about my essential needs!?!" You bang harshly on the door.
"You will be provided for. And there is a bathroom over to your right." The man's muffled voice speaks back. "So, enjoy your stay." With that blank statement more than anything, you hear his footsteps faintly through the door, leaving you. You attempt to open it. It appears to be locked, and there are no windows anywhere!
