Amory-that's my name. Picked out by my parents and later figured out its German for someone who is a leader, divine, brave. At least I had one of those attributes. I'm currently 14 years old and starting high school in two days, and I am not ready. I'm going to St. Helen's Catholic High School this year. My 2 best friends, Paige and Elizabeth are going to different schools, so that sucks. I was always seen as "weird" to my classmates because I didn't talk to them. So Paige and Elizabeth are my two other weirdos united together to make a friendship that will last a lifetime. I'm not that excited about high school so I knew it couldn't as fun as it looks like in High School Musical. Imagine just going to school and seeing people dancing on tables. I would be freaked out thinking I was dreaming or they are all crazy. I was thinking of doing my summer assignments earlier than usual so I don't have to the last minute. But I guess that was a lie because I forget that I'm the biggest procrastinator on planet Earth. So here I am September 3, reading The Great Gatsby, 2 days before school opens, and I have to write an opinion piece on the book. Luckily, I love reading and writing so this shouldn't be so hard. Probably why English is the only subject I like and never failed in.
