The classroom echoed with the new student's name. Catching glares from one curly haired boy.

The social butterfly of a girl waved the boy down eager to know who he was.

"Hey! I'm Josie, welcome to Avonlea."

"Oh- hey, thanks."

"This is Ruby, Tillie, Diana, Jane, and-''

"Anne."
He spoke with a smile in his voice.

"Yeah, do you know each other?"

The redhead felt the memories of the past catch up with her.

"Yeah, something like that.."
The redhead mumbling as she scribbled across her world history notes.

"Come, sit down."

"Uh- sure.."
The boy scratched his head the curly haired boy and the others not keeping their eyes off him.

"So where did you move from?"

"Uh- I've kinda been everywhere you could say."

"Your family part of the Army or something like that shit?"

The redhead glanced up knowing what was going to happen all too well.

"I'm a Orphan.."
The words broke the questions, but not the tension.

"Hey, we should probably go back to working Josie, you have a low grade right?"
The redhead said in attempts of rescue.

"Yeah whatever.."

~•~
"You are now dismissed."
The teacher spoke after making the class stay after the bell.

"Hey Anne, I wanted to tell you Moody asked me out, I didn't want to say anything while Josie was around."

"Yes, I'm so happy for you, Moody is a lucky guy-''

"Hey, can I talk to you?"
The new boy said holding his bag while people pasted by.

"Uh- sure, one second,
Ruby, I'll talk to you later, we still need to plan the Christmas party."

"Right, see you Anne!"
The girl waved off walking towards Moody.

The redhead followed the corners, running along the wall, glazing her imagination from within the Orphanage.

"You know Anne likes you right?"

"What?"

She halted her stop and peaked over the corner.

"Anne likes you.."

"Oh- I didn't know.."

"You don't like her right William? I mean look at her."

"Don't be so rude."

"Are you seriously defending her? Do you know how long we've known each other? Remember before she got here? We were a thing."
