How to get over a heartbreak

Breathe in. Breathe out.

That day I prepped for my night out, made sure my hair and outfit was on point before I left home. After pregaming with my boys I felt crossfaded and ready to go out. I knew I had to see the girl who stole my heart tonight.

Once in the bar it was good vibes like always. We laughed and danced downstairs but I didn't see her. We sang along to song after song during karaoke, even though I barely knew the words. We got drinks and food, but I started to get impatient. I knew she was here somewhere and I waited long enough, so I dragged my friends upstairs.

Now when we got upstairs it was a different story, it was the chaos I love from this bar. The dancefloor was crowded with more bodies than ever. It was packed and sweaty and the music was bumping. So I started dancing with one friend, nothing new except I wasn't fully focused. She was on my mind. He was focused on my hips while I scanned the crowd. As soon as I spot an empty space on the stage I take off through the crowd. I figured once on the stage I would easily spot her. I took my place and began two stepping as I searched for her. Now I didn't count on the sweaty shirtless dude next to me distracting me. Soon enough I'm on the ground twerking cuz I love to dance. And I was up there dancing for awhile before I remembered my mission. I got off the stage and began cutting through the crowd.

And then I seen her. Smiling back at me with that silly smile. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. No words are needed as we began dancing together. Every time I looked her in the eye, she smiled which made me laugh. In times like this when we are together everything around us melts away and its just she and I.

My friend tapping my shoulder brings me back to reality. It's time to say goodbye which we all know is the hardest part. I looked at her and there were tears in her eyes. I got close and whispered "remember you are always with me and i you." I took two fingers and kissed them before touching the mirror in front of me. Goodbye.
