Pool of Red

Her blood runs dry
On the bathroom floor
Her head blocks the closing of the doorway

Her cries for help
Were never heard
Over the sound of the mocking words

Her daddy's asleep
He's severely hungover
Her mommy is busy at the bar playing poker

Her sister is over
At her boyfriend's house
Who knows what they're doing, quiet as a mouse

Her friends are long gone
Turns out they never cared
All they did was tell her how to fix her "ugly hair"

The kids on the bus
They're never any good
Only teasing and laughing as she thinks they rightly should

But it follows her home
Wherever she goes
They're posting and posting bringing her to an all time low

She cries out all her tears
Her voice is raw from the screams
Yet nobody in the entire universe notices it seems

So she makes a simple video
Places a note on her bedside
As she prepares herself and says all of her unheard goodbyes

Then she leaves her bedroom
Leaves the note, and she did try
But she couldn't stop her broken heart, nor her broken mind

She couldn't stop herself
On the floor, she whispered "Goodbye"

And then she closed her eyes
And slept
Laying in a pool

Of red
