Let's duet

Piper's POV:
The next day as I stretched for rehearsal, Henry came up to me. He wrapped his arm round my waist and whispered in my ear, "We need to go on a date after rehearsal, Finn and Amy are going to The Next Steep. Meet you their?" I nodded slightly and hastily pulled away when I saw Finn watching. Henry pulled me back I and said, "keep up the act,remember?" Before walking away to tumble with Kingston. I glanced over at Finn again and he looked away. My guilt came back stronger than ever as I waited for Nick and Emily to tell is what we were going to do today. When they entered they told us that there was going to be a duet tiebreaker for DaneceMania. Henry immediately put his arm around me and I smiled a weak smile. Amy and Finn looked at each other and hesitantly and stepped towards each other. Lily and Kingston paired up together, so did Kenzie and Richelle. This left Heathcliff and Ozzy. They had this competitive friendship thing going on; immediately they started trying to argue. Emily watched them for all of 10 seconds before shouting, "ENOUGH!" Everyone fell silent. " We will use a compatibility test to avoid anymore...disagreements." We all nodded and got out our phones.
When Emily had collected in all the results she started to read them out, least to most compatible." Kenzie and Heathcliff!" A polite round of applause ensued. "Richelle and Ozzy!" Again a smattering of applause. " Kingston and Lily!" Wait that means it just is four left, guess we'll find out what the best pairings are. "Amy and Henry!" Slightly confused muttering ran through the group but I barely heard it. Finn and I are the most compatible? That can't be right. I checked with Emily and saw the results. It was true. Oh. I gestured to Finn to follow me. We went down to Studio 1 to begin our rehearsal. As soon as we arrived I turned to him and said, "let's just get through this dance and forget about everything. Ok?" He agreed and we began to walk through a routine.

Finn's POV:
When I got paired with Piper I was only mildly surprised. Even though Amy was my girlfriend, Piper and I had amazing chemistry. I would never tell Amy but secretly I would rather work with Piper, she made everything fun. As we began to rehearse this dance I couldn't keep my eyes off her. Every time she looked at me I felt my heart flutter which never happened with...Amy...oh no. I like Piper! The realisation knocked the breath out of me and I couldn't help but  blurt out, "yourtheone." She looked at me, confused, "repeat that slowly"
"Your the one, Piper. I like you a lot and I understand your with Henry but I just... wanted to let you know." Tears filled her eyes as she choked out, "you and I can never be together. Even if you break up with Amy, I can't date you, it just isn't right to date your best friend's ex." She became so overwhelmed with everything she ran out the studio with an, "I'm so sorry Finn!" I just stood their stunned. I can't believe she rejected me just days after she confessed her feelings! I guess her reason does make sense though, Amy would be pretty upset. I suppose I would continue to date her, what better way to get over a broken heart than by dating someone else?

Amy's POV:
The duet with Henry was going really well! The choreography was amazing and the chemistry was on fire! We had a real chance at winning this thing. I couldn't help but find butterflies erupting in my stomach every time he touched me. I had to push those down, I can't cheat on Finn. And Henry is Piper's boyfriend! Piper's my best friend, I would never betray her like this. Henry doesn't like me like that anyway, right?

Henry's POV:
As I danced this duet I could feel Amy opening up to me. Could she like me?

Piper's POV:
It was time for the duet auditions. Each pair danced a beautiful duet. It was going so hard to choose. I did not envy Emily and Nick at this point. When Amy and Henry danced their duet you could tell they had amazing chemistry, theirs was definitely the strongest contender for the DanceMania duet. When their performance ended with an enthusiastic round of applause I knew they had set the bar super high. As Finn and I took our places on the floor everything ceased to exist. It was only us and the music. Nick presses play on the music and we launched into a romantic contemporary/hip hop number. When the dance ended I looked up and saw Emily giving us a rare smile and everyone else clapping wildly. Emily announced, "Nick and I are going to discuss this in our office. Stay warm, we'll be back in a few minutes with the winner." I waited nervously in the splits for the decision. When Nick and Emily re-entered the room I stood up and wrung my hand together. Even though things between Finn and I were tense I still really want this duet. Emily cleared her throat and said, "the winners of the duet are...
